On April 29, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by helicopters of the U.S.-led coalition, carried out a security operation in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
According to the Deir Ezzor Media Center, four ISIS terrorists were captured during the operation, which took place in the town of Jadeed Ekedat. Assault rifles as well as explosive materials were found with the terrorists.
The SDF also carried out a search operation in the town of al-Sha’Fah in southeast Deir Ezzor. The Euphrates Post said a unit of the Kurdish-led group dug under a house in the town, looking for “secret hideouts” of ISIS. It remains unclear if anything was found.
ISIS cells in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside increased their activities recently, carrying out attacks against the SDF and its affiliates on a regular basis. In one of their recent attacks, the group’s terrorists assassinated the SDF’s fuel official in the governorate.
The SDF’s counter-terrorism operations in Deir Ezzor are short from what is needed to counter the growing influence of the group in the region.
They just arrest them so the US can more them elsewhere. SDF & US scum.
Yep. I don’t even believe ISIS exists anymore. Some people are wearing the badges of a dead organisation, others, particularly in the US/SDF areas may well be just locals who resist the US/SDF presence/occupation. They are called ISIS because its propaganda and suits the US narrative and agendas.
The next part of the US/SDF operation will be crossing the Euphrates into Iranian held territory, and then they’ll start hunting Isis south of the river, the very place they’re all coming from and multiplying like a virus. Keep an eye on the US pontoon brides, if they start packing up they’re probably relocating, and those highly mobile strike forces the US has been setting up just north of the river, might start using them if they’re moved.
