Today, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have captured the villages of Mazraa, Kebash Gharbi and Ruhayat.
The SDF has also started an attack on ISIS in Hazma village, aiming to encircle ISIS fighters in villages south of Tal al-Samman in the northern Raqqa countryside.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq has published photos showing ISIS terrorists targeting SDF fighters with mortars in the village of Ayed Kabir south of Tabqa city.
Menawhile, SDF troops continued advancing in the vicinity of the Al-Alam roundabout and the Yusuf al-Azma district in western Tabqa. The SDF has captured a workshop for manufacturing mortars belonging to ISIS.
Fighters of the Manbaj Military Council also joined the ongoing military operation in the city of Tabqa.
The US-led coalition’s warplanes continued bombing ISIS positions in the northern Raqqa countryside and in the city of Tabqa.
Apache attack helicopters provide close air support to SDF fighters in the northern Raqqa countryside. The US Marines’ artillery provides a fire support to the SDF in the city of Tabqa.
According to the Manbij Military Council, the SDF will be in control of about a half of Tabqa within three-five days.
