On Thursday, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) took control of Al-Sinaa district and the industrial area in eastern part of the Raqqa city after fierce clashes with ISIS fighters.

According to Kurdish sources, the SDF began storming Al-Batani district north of the industrial zone. In the western part of Raqqa city, the SDF continued its advance in Al-Bared district and seized 25% of the area.
According to Kurdish sources, the SDF advanced from Al-Sahl village towards the Raqqa bridge and the Corniche district in southern Raqqah.
Clashes between ISIS and SDF fighters are taking place right now around the Al-Sahl pumping station. So far, fighters of the Manbij Military Council captured a VBIED and a number of ISIS fighters.

A number of SDF fighters was killed in Al-Sahal village after being targeted with an ATGM by ISIS militants.
Moreover, ISIS armed drone targeted an SDF bulldozer in Al-Mashlab district in eastern Raqqah.

According to local sources, more than 400 artillery shells fired by SDF and US Marines targeted Raqqa city during the past 24 hours. At least 3 civilians lost their life as a result of artillery shelling in al-Ajili district in Raqqa.
