On January 2, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) liberated most of the town of al-Shaafah in the middle Euphrates River Valley following heavy clashes with ISIS, according to Kurdish sources. The US-backed group stormed the key town four days ago.
As usual, the SDF press center didn’t confirm these claims. However, the center said in its daily press release that SDF fighters repelled several counter-attacks of ISIS and killed more than 11 terrorists in the last 24 hours.
The US-led coalition continued to provide SDF fighters with close air support and carried out more than 30 airstrikes on assets of ISIS in the Euphrates Valley. As a result, 5 vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) and 13 fortified positions of the terrorist group were destroyed.
In the last few days, the SDF slowed down its advance in the Euphrates valley likely to avoid any misstep. In the beginning of its operation, the US-backed group made several hasty decisions in the battlefield, which allowed the terrorist group to organize effective counter-attacks and ambushes.

So why don’t they confirm it? Fake/bullshit news?
They are more likely delivering new American weapons to ISIS.
