Heavy clashes between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the ISIS terrorist group are ongoing south of Syria’s Manbij where ISIS militants launched a counter-offensive to lift the SDF siege from the strategic city in Aleppo province.
On June 4, SDF units were able to prevent further ISIS gains in the area and re-took the village of Khirbat ar-Rus. However, the situation remains shaky.
