The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is forcibly moving the civilians who fled from the ISIS-held pocket in the middle Euphrates River Valley during the recent battle to well-controlled camps in al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed on January 10.
“During the last 24 hours, the SDF moved the residents of the al-Skah camp near the town of al-Busayrah … it forced them to carry their own tents and move to camps in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside,” the SOHR’s report reads.
According to the UK-based monitoring group, this step led to tension between the Kurdish-dominated group and the local Arab population. Local sources told the SOHR that the tension erupted when the SDF opened fire at a young man in one of the temporary camps in Euphrates Valley in order to force the civilians to leave it.
More than 14,800 people, including 580 terrorists, have fled from the ISIS-held pocket in the Euphrates Valley since the beginning of the US-led coalition operation their last year. The SOHR said that most of the terrorists who fled were carrying large amounts of money, up to 500,000 USD even.
The SDF’s security forces managed to arrest many terrorists who tried to hide in the refugee camps. However, local observers fear that many others may have slipped under the radar.
Ugh, wouldn’t be surprised if these camps were more akin to concentration camps if anything.

Turkey wants the whole de-escalation zone to be ethnically cleaned from Christianity, something that ‘moderates’ can’t do for Turkey but HTS can. HTS is a perfect tool for genocide. De-escalation zone is an euphemism for a death trap and filtration camps are euphemism for extermination camps. The only purpose of them is to catch as many civilians as possible and then give them to HTS for extermination.
