The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are negotiating with the ISIS terrorist group over the situation in Manbij. According to AlMasdarNews, the SDF and ISIS could make a relocation treaty. In this case, the remaining ISIS militants will be able to move to Al Maskanah Plains or Raqqa in order to link up with the ISIS forces there.
Pro-Kurdish sources report that ISIS has suffered significant casualties during the siege. However, the low SDF progress on the ground depicts that the US-backed Kurdish group could be also interested in the agreement.
Meanwhile, heavy clashes are ongoing in the western part of Manbij where SDF units are attempting to seize Manbij Hospital in order to divide the western group of ISIS militants from the main force in the city center. Pro-Kurdish sources report that SDF units were able to destroy 2 ISIS SVBIEDs there. Meanwhile, the SDF took control of Sharia School in Shariat Neighborhood.
Relocation of IS militants can only be accepted if they leave without all non personal weapons, disarm all ieds’s, release the kurdish civilian prisoners taken the last weeks and are relocated direction Raqqa. Better would be if they are relocated abroad, but who will accept them?
