The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has seized the strategic National Hospital, splitting the ISIS force in Manbij into two separate parts. Now, a group of ISIS fighters is isolated in the western part of Manbij near Tetbekat prison. It will be destroyed by SDF units in the comming days. When it’s done, the Syrian Democratic Forces will be able to consolidate the gains in western Manbij and launvh a full-scale offensive towards the Manbij city center.
The long-awaited liberation of city hall will be a significant PR victory for the US-backed forces.
The SDF has reportedly captured an ISIS command center near Al Asqa Mosque and secured Bustan Al Hadad Neighborhood from ISIS.
Meanwhile, the US-led coalition airpower has conducted over 20 air strikes, destroying 15 separate ISIS units, 13 ISIS fighting positions and at least 77 civilians in and near Manbij. US warplanes killed at least 56 civilians in the village of Tokhar and 21 civilian were killed in U.S.-led coalition air strikes on Manbij’s northern Hazawneh quarter.
Just as “accidental” as the ones by Russia causing civilian deaths. Unfortunately in war, innocent people often pay the highest price. I know it’s something Southfront only touts when the West does this, but Russia is equally guilty. If you don’t want agony, you best sue for peace any which way you can.
They let a terrorist organization of beheaders take control of their city. And kept living there, obeying them, paying them taxes, having Sharia law, sending their kids to IS indoctrination schools etc.
