Syrian Democratic Forces To Resume Attack On ISIS Enclave On Saturday

by: sdf-press.com

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will resume its attack on the last ISIS stronghold in the middle Euphrates River Valley, if no more civilians or fighters emerge by Saturday, the group’s spokesman Mustafa Bali told Reuters on Friday.

Bali claimed that nobody had come out of the terrorist group’s territory since Thursday. However, a new report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that 1050 people, including 90 terrorists, were evacuated in the last 24 hours.

The UK-backed monitoring group also revealed that the SDF and its main backer, the US-led coalition, are still striking the last ISIS positions north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani.

The SDF resumed its attack on the ISIS-held pocket north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani in the beginning of this month. However, the ground attack was halted few days later as more and more civilians began to emerge from the terrorist group’s territory.

According to the available information, the remaining ISIS fighters are currently hiding inside a complex network of tunnels. The terrorist group had forced captives and civilians to dug the tunnels in the outskirt of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani prior to the SDF attack.

Funnily enough , the construction of a complex network of tunnels is not something an ordinary soldier could execute. It requires trained civil engineers to plan the depth’s and direction and also the geology of the ground.

ISIS have tunneling experts who must have had a good education I think.

LaFarge the French concrete company made lots of $ from ISIS in Syria doing just that. Remember Douma’s tunnels.

LaFarge is essentially a supplier, some say a corrupt supplier and there is prosecution against the company in France for colluding with ISIS. LaFarge is not a contractor, that’s the case in the UK anyway.

I have written before that the Douma tunnels and the complex built beneath the National Hospital in Douma , were a very complex project that required specialist steelwork supplies etc. The logical way they could have been bought into Douma was via the ‘Humanitarian Aid Convoys’ that had free access.

I am certain that specialist civil engineers, most likely NATO military engineers were involved in Douma. One tunnel wes circa 22 km long and there is a video of a pickup truck driving down the whole length after liberation. A US tunnel boring machine was found in Douma.

Ronald

LaFarge, well yes they do supply concrete, but that is only a small part of their available services. They essentially are contractors. They know and provided all the engineers for Duma, Raqqa and the Dier Ezzor corridor. That’s how they were able to milk ISIS for millions. They probably have built at least one if not more tunnels under the river. The French have backed the Americans with special forces, the concrete is only a small part of the action Concrete Mike knows much more detail, ask him.

Thanks for that. I am only familiar with their operations in the UK , where they are a major supplier of cement , aggregates and concrete.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Unfortunately Isis has lots of intelligent people with world ranking expertises in many varied fields, Military, medical, propaganda/media, engineering/bombs, Physics/chemicals, ect, it’s just morals and a conscience they lack, [and good reasoning skills].

Pave Way IV

How is it even possible to have this many head-choppers and their families in Baghuz? The reports say they just keep coming out and coming out… it’s getting comical, even coming from SOHR.

The US / SDF seem like the most reluctant soldiers on the planet. Like all those theatrical wars that are described in the Old Testament. Even marching around the city seven times :)

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The longer you have to think about dying, the harder it is to actually embrace it, even for the willing martyrs, a few days of pondering might help get a few more of them to surrender without a fight. Good thinking.
