A Syrian family, which managed to flee to western Aleppo, has told about the situation in the eastern part of the city.
On October 20, the exit of civilians from the militants-held eastern part of Aleppo was almost failed. However, on the night of October 21, a Syrian family managed to escape to the western part of the city through a checkpoint of the Syrian Army. A video, showing the exit of two women, several children and a head of the family, was published online by the Anna News agency.
The elderly Syrian man said that about 2-3 thousand people gathered in the area of Bustan al-Qasr in the daytime. Civilians wanted to go to the western part of the city, but militants did not allow them to do this, and when shells began to explode, people fled. According to the head of the family, local residents have very hard life in eastern Aleppo. They practically have no food. Sometimes, Islamists help them, but this is not enough.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that terrorists have deployed 1,200-strong attack force, including 30 suicide bombers, to storm the southwestern government-controlled areas of Aleppo city. In light of these developments, the Syrian Army has started to strengthen its defense lines around the southern corridor of the city.
