Syrian forces found the dead bodies of three senior ISIS commanders while combing the terrorist group’s former hideouts in the southern part of Daraa city, commonly known as Daraa al-Balad, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported on November 19.
A security official told the state-run agency that one of the dead bodies belonged to Muhammad Qassem al-Subayhi, also known as “Abu Tariq Qassem al-Niran”.
Before joining the ranks of ISIS, al-Subayhi commanded a Free Syrian Army (FSA) faction that was known as the Saif al-Haq Brigade.
The terrorist is infamous for his war crimes, which were not limited to government forces. Prior to the 2018 reconciliation agreement, al-Subayhi was jailed by the FSA for murdering a rebel in Athman. Al-Subayhi’s most hideous crime took place on 4 May 2020, when he and his terrorists abducted nine policemen from the town of Muzayrib in the western Daraa countryside then executed them.
The other two bodies found by Syrian forces in Daraa al-Balad belong to ISIS top commander in the city, Abu Hamzah al-Shami, and the terrorist group military commander, Abu Salem al-Deiri.
Russian-backed local fighters and former rebels launched an operation to clear Daraa al-Balad from ISIS cells with direct support from the Syrian military and intelligence on August 31. The operation was concluded on November 15 after the capture of the terrorists’ main stronghold in the city, the al-Sad street. During the operation, dozens of ISIS terrorists were reportedly neutralized.
Large quantities of weapons and explosives as well as four vehicle-born improvised explosive devices were found by Syrian forces while combing al-Sad street.
Syrian forces are currently pursuing a number of terrorists who managed to escape from Daraa al-Balad, including local commanders, Mohamad al-Masalmah, “Hafu,” and Muayad Harfouche, “Abu Taja”.
The pro-Western terrorists thought they were going to win…………………. in Syria they were deratized with extreme violence.
Looks like there’s been a change of leadership. I hope washingtub was informed, for pension purposes.
