On October 3, pro-government forces liberated the villages of Akash and Abu Hanaya from ISIS terrorists in the eastern Salamiyah countryside in central Syria.
It’s clear that government troops are aiming to clear the northern part of the pocket from ISIS now. Then, they will likely focus on liberating the reamining ISIS-held area.
well done freedom fighters … keep up the superb work
This comment is so general as to say nothing.
Freedom fighters are :
a. IS b. SAA ( unlikely as they are an army) c. SDF
take your pick.
Mine is c. As such I agree with you.
Yawning
Yes, indeed very boring. Thank you for sharing.
You called ISIS freedom fighters…well looks like we understand where your loyalty’s are especially that you said the SAA is unlikely to be freedom fighters..hmmm I wonder how the people in Deir-Er-Zour or Aleppo would fell about you right about now?
The People of DE and Aleppo call them”Superheroes”!!
What the SDF are is mostly Terrorists groups PKK/YPG and PJAK, interspersed with some Anarchy brigades, but associating them with freedom fighters is similar to another group in the 80’s called “Al Qaeda”.
The problem is that while SAA &Russia are busy liberating populated areas the SDF & USA are busy capturing more economic areas where oil fields are located so of Syria wants to get back it’s sovereignity, they must balance their Acts otherwise they will lose strategic points of economic importance. Unless if Assad will have to go head on SDF after he deals with ISIS if that’s the strategy then let’s wait and see since that’s what ASSAD said that they are prepared to liberate the whole of Syria . The USA is pushing the Kurds to say they will no give up what they take but funny coz they can’t take what was part of Syria and try to make it a different state. But USA with its dirty agenda of wanting maintain military bases in the region will try to facilitate Kurds independenceboth in Syria & Iraq . Russia must crush the USA & Israel projects of terrorists in the MIDDLE East , they fund and arm terrorists so as to destabilise the region to allow the growth of Israel . Any country should not allow this rubbish idea of dividing countries according to tribes otherwise the whole world will want to follow suit then we will have chaos
And the SDF at some future date will most likely be in conflict with Iraqi, Turkish and Iranian Kurds. It’s all about power.
As commenter Anti_Globalista thinks this report is very boring, a much more interesting report would be how the advance on Mayadin, reported some two days ago, is succeeding.
As the report suggested that it is expected that the IS counterattacks would draw away much of IS defensive capabilities there, one would have expected them to be already fighting at the outskirts of Mayadin.
Is a progress report available?
And a situation report on the imo strategically failed bridgehead east of the river?
btw, there is an SDF related report that SAA evacuated Khusan (hope I spelled it right) east of the river after killing/murdering 20 civillians?
Correct?
Hope to get some info from you on those issues.
Keep up the lies, some people find you boring and a laughable annoyance with your pathetic commenting.
Can’t Russia send at least a full strength division to help Syria?
I mean, it’s not like their army is lacking in numbers or something, and the training would be most welcome.
can not recruit Assad from 10.5 million inhabitants 2 divisions?
The Russian 4th Guards Division Tank division has 12k men, 380 tanks, 300 IFVs, 130 SP artillery and 12 grads. The army could assign additional tank and artillery brigades to the division and send them to the Deir-Ez Zor area and retake the whole territory including the Qamisli – Quneitra highway in a month or two.
