Government troops have also consolidated their advances near the al-Siyasah Bridge and secured their flank.

Thus, Syrian Arab Army units are now in close close proximity from an area controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF – green on the map).

Now, ISIS units can attack government troops in the area from the north only in case if the SDF allows them to do so.

SAA should continue push NORTH along the river prevent SDF reach the river. There should be limited ISIS resistance,as most of the ISIS should left the area, unless SDF will allow ISIS attack SAA from SDF position

I think this will happen. SAA and allies are operating there with high intense. Al-Sihasah Bridge is taken, Saker Island on the plan.

Already done. SDF now at the river both west and east of DeZ, bridgehead now fully enveloped with some IS in between at a few points.

Still plenty of ISIS at Dez. SAA has been unable to secure Dez City or Saqr Island, which means entire area still subject to mortar fire like that which killed the Russian General & 3 Russian Colonels.

Wahid Algiers

Taking Al-Siyasah-Bridge is the beginning of the liberation of the rest of DE City and Saker Island.

Or Not. What have all those troops been doing for weeks on East of Euphrates? And the Bridge? And the 2 pontoon bridges? And the pontoon boats?

ISIS at Dez is proving much tougher than Russians thought.

Seizing KF is good news, but village of Khusham to South has either been changing hands or has not been secured as different maps and information are conflicting.

Breaking: SDF has just captured a fight ranking Isis military leader in Raqqa.

Analysis: he may have surrendered as signal to other Isis to Surrender ending Raqqa battle.

Understood many IS fighters surrendered yesterdat and today, but there is still fighting going on. The deal appears to be off.

Hopefully they can wrap it up the next few days. Likely demining will start soon or has already started in some quarters.

Wladimir reported that Raqqa Council & SDF planned on cooking 50 sheep for feast at Ain Issa; but then Coalition came out with their No Deal BS. Sad.

SDF has been closing the small gap along the river west of DeZ and also on the east of DeZ, where they are now at the riverbank. Bridgehead of SAA now fully enveloped by SDF.

Fighting around Jafra still going on. Earlier Amaq photo’s of Jafra being taken were geolocated to the nearby train station, not the oilfield at all.

Counterattacks by SDF have brought SDF at the banks of the Khabur in the south end of the river. By crossing that river, they are entering the Omar oilfield.
