A new phase of offensives in the Northern countryside of Aleppo is getting ready to be carried out by Syrian army troops and their popular allies, seeking to capture a key region to reinvigorate security of the newly-captured districts in the Northern part of the city.
According to military sources, the attention of the Syrian Armed Forces and popular forces has been focused on the important village of Kafr Hamra, located on the Northwestern side of Aleppo city. The sources also noticed that Kafr Hamra is going to be struck from two different flanks.
Kafr Hamra was an important area used by the terrorist groups to launch mortar shells and hellfire cannons into the Western Aleppo neighborhoods. Now they are going to use this area to target the capital of the province. Kafr Hamra will be one of top priorities of the Syrian Arab Army in the Aleppo Governorate due to its proximity to the New Aleppo District and al-Zahra’a Association Quarter.
Also on July 28, the Syrian troops and their allies took full control of the strategic district of Bani Zeid in the Northern part of Aleppo city. Purging Bani Zeid and Youth Housing regions from the terrorists, the Syrian forces completed the siege on militants in the Eastern parts of Aleppo and cut off their supply routes.
