Two hundred fifty-six terrorists from the city of Dara’a and the towns of al-Sanamain, Izraa, and al-Mesmiyeh laid down their arms and surrendered to the army’s forces in recent days, the Fars news agency reported on Friday. All ex-militants were pardoned by the Syrian government officials in the Southern city of Dara’a and returned to normal life.
Also on August 3, the Syrian government officials pardoned 2,000 other terrorists, who had turned themselves in to the authorities in the Southern province of Dara’a.
According to Fars, within the framework of the local reconciliations from the amnesty decree no.15 for 2016, the legal status of 2,000 of ex-terrorists in Dara’a and its countryside were settled on Monday and Tuesday.
