The Syrian intelligence foiled a terrorist attack during a special operation in the southern part of the city of Damascus on January 20.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SAA) said that intelligence agents detonated an improvised explosive device (IED), which had been planted on a key road in southern Damascus. The terrorist who planted the IED was apprehended immediately. The available information indicate that he was under surveillance from the beginning.
Syrian opposition activists tried to exploit this operation and claimed that a terrorist attack had targeted Branch 235 of the Military Intelligence Directorate. However, these claims were denounced by multiple sources.
The failed terrorist attack coincided with an attempt by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to target positions in the Damascus international airport. The Ministry of Defense of Russia said that the Israeli aerial attack was repelled by the Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces (SyAADF).
As far as IDlib and Al-Tanf continue on terrorists hands terrorism wil not stop ever in Syria, point. This must be understood mainly by Russia which must stop pleasing Turkey.
I agree with you a 100%. I do also believe that Turkey is making a very big mistake in alienating both the US and Russia (add China) and that will come back and haunt them for an extremely long time.

You speak like you are at least Putin ( if not God Himself ) Guys like you keep accusing Russia for lenience if not servitude, towards Israel, Turkey, NATO, Ukraine, US, terrorists, aliens … etc.etc.. Good to see that this report mentions that the foiled terrorist attack ‘coincided’ with the also foiled Israeli air strike…these things do not happen randomly…
Such British understatement. Let’s not beat around the bush. I would call it co-ordination between intimate allies, which resulted in failure. Boy, I wonder who they will kill to relieve their frustrations? I would feel rather sorry for the fate of the nearest horse, cow, sheep or pig. I would not approve of such inter-species interactions, unless it was through mutual consent. Baahaaaaa!!!
