The Syrian military command has been redeploying the elite Tiger Forces of the Syrian Arab Army from the northern Hama countryside to the area of the ancient city of Palmyra, according to reports of local journalists and some military souces.
The redeployment of the Tiger Forces to Palmyra followed the de-facto end of government forces offensive attempts in northern Hama. The Syrian military had regaimed the all areas lost to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in March and even gained additional ground.
Now, the Syrian military is reportedly concentrating forces in the area of Palmyra for a widely expected push on the key city of Deir Ezzor besieged by ISIS terrorists.
If their plan is to advance east along the M20 highway only, than they will be defeated the same way as they have been defeated try reach Raqqa taking Ar Raqqa Home highway East
they dont have to keep the road open, they can push through with tanks and men. Enough ammo in Deir ezzor.
I think that the Syrians need to get a big force into the east to forestall the US head-chopping, heart-eating rapers. If the proxy head-chopping, heart-eating rapers cut the road all the better, the Syrians will know where to find them.
This will be suicidal mission
@ Joe Doe,
Care to explain why?
In spite of all the latest posts on Southfront about Syriam Army units from R.G. to 4th Armoured Division, without the Tiger Force SAA can not advance on multiple fronts. Interesting…
Elite Tiger Forces tend to skim off lot of most competent SAA personnel. The SAA is already short on for quality infantry.
Not true. The damascus pocket/front is in full swing again. The daraa front is alive again. West aleppo is still active. The whole palmyra countryside is crawling with SAA guys hunting for isis in the desert. And now the palmyra > deir ezzor offensive.
So, essentially, there are now 4/5 fronts active or becoming active right now as we speak…
I’m not talking about the active fronts but rather about offensive effort which is only accomplished by Tiger Force.
Wrong. There are no Tiger Forces in East Ghouta, none in Dier Ez-Zor and there were none in Palmyra in the last months but on all this fronts there were SAA offensive operations. Successful (not yet completed) offensiv operations. So its just wrong what you are saying.
palmyra was retaken by russians
in deir ez zor is defending army, not attacking. so, derapage was right
The SAA is closing the gap between the Airport/base and Deir Ezzor. That means they’re on the attack. They are besieged and have been for years. That is true too.
this is far from attack, boy. attack were, if they took the ehole cety, including east part.
Only you can see offensive operations on Deir Ez-zr or Qaboun where anyone can see instead besieged areas for starvation.
Cool! Wish them all the luck and succes!! ✌
The Washington barbarians won’t like their western distraction backfiring at this time of year, the Syrians will have to be opposed in the open or allowed through, perhaps a bit of both. I wouldn’t like to be a US head-chopping, heart-eating raper this summer.
They’re just “patching holes”…always not to the end.
sometimes thats all you can do when fighting the nastiest and endless enemy of terrorists ever seen on planet earth. An enemy that would have complete defeated most NATO members in much less time
USA is much much closer from Deir Ezzor than Syria army is. If USA and kurds arrive first to this city, that is pretty bad news for Syria army, Russia, Hezbolath and Iran.
Ha, do you really think the US or the Kurds are wiling to fight the SAA there? They can get there fast sure. Go ahead and attack the SAA. and we will see what will happen internationally.
nothing
spoken like a true retard
@ gustavo,
As chris states: getting somewhere fast does not necessarily translate into victory [think Germans and Stalingrad]. Deir Ezzor has been besieged for years, but the SAA is now on the attack. The FUKZUS war machine prefers to bomb wedding parties, goat gatherings and pregnant women. They managed to sneak in 1 bombing run on an SAA position, but that will not happen again. Deir Ezzor will remain in Syrian hands [as it should be].
The SAA plans to capture the city of Deir Ezzor because they kick Iss out from eastern Syria than will focus their intention some where else.
