The Syrian military has started deploying fresh reinforcements to the area of Kafr Nabudah in northwestern Hama. These reinforcements include units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the 4th Armoured Division.
According to pro-government sources, the Syrian military leadership is planning to use these reinforcements in the upcoming military operations in the area. These operations will likely be launched after the expected collapse of the ceasefire agreement in the area.
The shaky ceasefire in northwestern Hama is based on the inability of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and its Turkish-backed allies to deliver a military blow to the SAA in the area. Nonetheless, militants will likely resume their offensive efforts after receiving a new batch of supplies from their foreign actors. Even despite the “ceasefire”, sporadic clashes regularly erupt at the contact line between the militant-held and SAA-held areas. The Syrian Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces respond to these incidents with strikes on militant infrastructure in the area of Idlib.

Why is Assad allowing the terrorist to regroup & rearm ?
Because he can’t stop them and because of Turkey. I think turkey does not want the fight to stop until most of the militants are dead but it also want to Assad bleed as much as possible. Also Assad has big fuel problems for his army.

What I say is that Russia probably made it clear that terrorist will not win in Syria. and turkey has some 50-100k terrorists on it’s payroll. a dead terrorist is a paycheck less for erdogan and a pain to assad in the process.

SAA is not enough to defeat terrorist as we have seen along the Syrian war… Aleppo was liberated by Tiger Forces( SAA) Hezbollah, Iraqi PMU, Palestine fighters, Russian Speznats…Deir Ezzor: RG Druze Brigade( Gen Isam Zahredine), Shayrat tribes, Iraqi PMU, Russian PMC. Palmyra: Desert Hawk(NDF),Russian Speznats,Russian PMC. Damascus/ East Goutta: Tiger Forces. West Syria/Lebanon border: Hezbollah. Latakia: SSNP ( Far right party militia),Homs: Tiger Forces, SSNP., Christian Militia…all of them deployed fighters on ground to face terrorist and keep territory!… Regular SAA/NDF conscripts are not reliable force!

I looked at the photos of the pipeline damage. Those appeared to have ruptured from old age since the metal had split. A bomb would’ve blown a big ragged hole in them.

Because he can’t stop them nor can the terrorists stop Assad from reinforcing and resupplying the SAA units. I’m not going to question the game plan that the Russians and SAA have worked out. Right now they appear to be going after the two smallest groups (Jaysh Al Izzah in the south and the Turkestan Islamic Party in the NW) because they have the least number of troops and probably a limited supply of munitions. I think the recent actions by the SAA have been probes in depth to see if those two factions will shift units to the front lines with neighboring terrorist groups sending in troops to hold their former positions. Those groups failed to back each other up when the SAA conducted the Hama Offensive a while back which allowed the SSA to retake a lot of territory in Hama and SE Idlib. The HTS was sending out requests for them to send in men, munitions and equipment and only to be ignored.
Reading all this front news I always wondered why I don’t see a big armored attack from syrians. I always see small skirmishes. If you loose 1-2 tanks and 10-20 soldiers daily for 2 weeks, why not attack once with 100 tanks and 5000 soldiers and break the front..? Also I don’t see enough artilery support. I don’t want wonders but clearly they have enough guns, ammo and tanks..

There seems to me to be little point in the Russians mounting air-strikes against the various terrorist fronts, day after day, while concurrently engaging in talks and agreements with the Turks, who are supposed to guarantee ceasefires among their many and various proxies, whilst at the same time, the Turks are rearming, supporting and munitioning some, at least, of the varied HTS / alQaeda / Nusra Front terrorist forces who are on the receiving end of the Russian Bombing Campaigns. Either the Russians aren’t maintaining their end of the bargain by ensuring their bombing raids are effective against these terrorists and/or the Turks aren’t maintaining their end of the bargain through ensuring that their proxies engage in ceasefires and the Turks aren’t rearming them as the need arises or ……… a combination of both. I strongly suspect that Russia is soft-pedaling for so long as it takes to ensure the transfer to the Turks of the S-400 System and receive payment for what they supply, thereby breaking Turkey from the NATO Alliance. Knowing the nature of the beast, Erdogan and his perfidy, I suspect Putin and his Minister for Defense will want to see the $$$$ sitting in the Russian Government a/c’s in Moscow before they turn their undivided attention to Erdogan’s Pet Terrorists in Syria. Meanwhile, they are maintaining a care and maintenance form of suppression of the terrorist activity through their bombing raids. Until that S-400 deal has gone through and is complete, there will be no final push to obliterate the terrorists by Russia and meanwhile, I also strongly suspect that the majority of the SAA and its Allies on the ground are taking a well-earned rest following 8 years of war before engaging in the final push to overwhelm this terrorist enclave. This coming month will tell us much …….. remembering that Iranian Forces may be required elsewhere soon enough!!

Hezbollah and Iran have stopped supporting the SAA, it’s a fact. This is because they think it will be easier for them to take over a weak SAA. Assad must stop the unnecessary killing of Syrian soldiers. The only solution at this stage is negotiations with the Turks and Americans on stabilizing the situation in Syria.
There is a reason Hezbollah and Iran are keeping a low profile in this war.. They do NOT want to be seen on the wrong side..The Russian backed Assad forces are correctly seen as terrorists/murderers, daily committing war crimes against humanity. Iran wants a piece of the leftovers, but doesn’t want to be seen as committing war crimes, especially as these are war crimes against other of Islam.
