The Syrian military has liberated 100 km2 from US-backed militant groups in the Damascus desert area near the border with Jordan, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
Government forces have reportedly seized Tal Assadi, Tal Jarin, Tal Riyahay, Bi’r Saboun and Wadi Sawt establishing control over the nearby desert areas.
The Damascus desert is barely populated. Thus, the side that controls key hills and roads controls the desert. However, even in this case, the Syrian military is not able to keep a direct control of the whole desert area as well as US-backed forces are not able to regain the ground if they are not in control over the heights.
Resistance is Victory!
Just having a “border” again in syria will do wonders for the security situation within syria…
Keep on truckin and good work.
:))) so the high ground is key :))
