Syrian Military Sends More Troops, Heavy Weapons To Northern Lattakia And Northwestern Hama

Illustrative image, By SANA

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) deployed more units and heavy weapons in the northern Lattakia countryside and the northwestern Hama countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on August 8.

Several sources familiar with the situation in northern Syria told the pro-opposition monitoring group that the SAA and its allies are preparing to launch a military operation. According to the sources, the operation will cover northern Lattakia, the al-Ghab Plains and the city of Jisr al-Shughur in the northwestern Idlib countryside.

In a related development, the SOHR said that the SAA artillery and rocket launchers continue to shell positions of militants in the northern Lattakia countryside and the northwestern Hama countryside. The shelling is likely the first stage of the upcoming operation.

According to local observers, northern Lattakia, the al-Ghab Plains and Jisr al-Shughur are strongholds of several radical groups such as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Horas al-Din and the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP). These groups violate the de-escalation agreement in northern Syria, which was agreed by Russia, Turkey and Iran, on a regular basis.

so…….. what are you waiting for? Go in.

Ma_Laoshi

Postponing an operation while doing nothing would be waiting. Postponing an operation while heavy weapons and troops are being moved into position is more, like, preparing. Since it’s their life on the line not ours, this might in fact be a good idea.

Excellent comment Ma

They’re also bringing in sufficient supplies to sustain prolonged offensives. The SAA also should be spending some time working up the reconciled FSA militias to serve as reserves for those operations. I’m curious to see how many militant militias in those regions that aren’t subjugated to the extremists and Turks will quickly agree to reconcile with Damascus and join the advances against them?

jorge

An artillery and missiles launchers barrage, in the russian military doctrine, it’s already the first step of the offensive.

Rob

Syria and allies should first eliminate all ISIS cells and pockets from Syria then think about Idlib, Aleppo, Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, Hassaka, Al-Tanf and Jawlan Heights. ISIS are US, NATO and Israel.

Matew Ivanson

Keep your panties on Abdullah. Your friends in Idlib will have the choice of a nice bus ride to Turkey, or reconciliation with the Syrian government. The SAA might even let them keep their vbieds and suicide vests as souvenirs of their complete defeat . .

Rob

Why crying to me? Anybody that kicking asses of benjanyahu are really friends of Iran. Then Russia and all their allies are Iran friends because they all kicking asses of benjanyahu in Syria.

The Syrian government coalition’s ongoing advances will eventually bring it to the point where it can support clearing operations against the IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet in the Golan and possibly as part of dejudifying and unifying Palestine. This could be done in conjunction with regional governments and the UN:

“It also requests that the Secretary-General, within 60 days, present his “proposals on ways and means for ensuring the safety, protection and well-being of the Palestinian civilian population under Israeli occupation, including “recommendations regarding an international protection mechanism.”

The Palestinian Protection Force report is due this coming Monday.

The Golan strike against IDF facilities, could be a precursor for the use of nuclear weapons against IDF facilities if they begin nuclear first strikes against neighboring nations. This is a video showing how nuclear weapons could be used against Israel as part of disarming the IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet:

“During the 1973 Yom Kippur war, Israel came close to making a nuclear preemptive strike when it seemed to be facing defeat at the hands of Syrian armor, according to a half dozen former U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials familiar with the still-classified incident.”

The process of revoking Israel’s UN membership and replacing it with Palestine should proceed:

“A United Nations human rights expert is under fire after suggesting Israel could have its member status at the world body suspended over alleged violations of international law. …

He said that Israel is in “direct contravention” of more than 40 U.N. Security Council resolutions, including resolutions condemning the building of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

“What should be done with respect to a member state who clearly defies a body of UNSC resolutions, contrary to their responsibilities under the Charter and as an occupying power?” he said. “If this behaviour is ignored, then the offending member-state will surely take that as a license to continue the prohibited act, and the status of international law will be degraded.”

“If it is clear that Israel has no intent to comply with the repeated direction of the international community, then other measures within the remedial menu should be considered and applied,” he said, adding that similar measures had successfully been used against other countries before.”

It would be helpful if regional governments could prepare for a multinational effort disarming and disbanding the IDF, Mossad, Shin Bet and the Israeli government. And replacing it with a unified Palestine. https://i.redditmedia.com/r41YehKdfeI5tF4q9DNzwHrl7wMXWls4sQVVSCvmAPg.jpg?w=1024&s=d132741d3718a8523d66815bdc6c8c64

Syria can’t let erdogan maje the decision for Syria. He’ll never make up his mind about the final status of HTS. In part because he likes them, and in part because he’s afraid of them.

Sirius should preempt erdogan. Just invade idlib province.

Davki

It’s still doubtful whether the Russian and Iranian-backed Syrian regime militias are able or willing to launch a full-out attack against Idlib. Rather, there might be a negotiated solution.

Feudalism Victory

Id bet on that. Right now russia iran and turkey are having frank conversations.

Its hard to say whether turkey will break with russia and iran.i think theyd be wise to give up their expansionist dreams. The ottoman empire is dead turkey doesnt have the economy to restore it and it would only provoke a strong coalition to resist it.

But erdogan is unhinged and has delusions of grandeur. He might hitler his country in pursuit of imperial glory.
