Syrian pro-opposition sources said that the Russian Aerospace Forces supported the SAA attack on Busra al-Harir and conducted more than 50 airstrikes on positions inside the town. However, no civilian casualties were reported as a result of the Russian airstrikes.

Meanwhile, the SAA and its allies continued their ground attack in the region of Lajat between the northwestern al-Suwayda countryside and the northeastern Daraa countryside. According to Syrian pro-government sources, the SAA captured the village of Jadal in the center of the region.

From its side, the US-backed FSA didn’t conduct any defensive operation against the SAA in southern Syria. Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that militants in 11 villages in southern Syria had surrendered to SAA.

The SAA and its allies will likely capture more areas in the eastern Daraa countryside in the upcoming hours, as the remaining positions of the FSA there appear to be collapsing.
