On February 24, several Pantsir-S1 air defense systems of the Syrian Air Defense Forces (SADF) intercepted five rockets over the al-Dumayr airbase located 25km northeast of the Eastern Ghouta pocket, according to Syrian pro-government activists.
The Russian-made air defense system Pantsir-S1 has proven itself as an effective countermeasure against medium size projectiles. Similar systems have been able to intercept several rockets over the Russian Hmeimim airbase on many occasions. On December 27, 2017 the system successfully intercepted two Grad rockets over the Russian airbase.
Few minutes after the interception, several Syrian opposition news outlets reported that Jaysh al-Islam fighters had shelled the al-Dumayr airbase with several rockets and artillery rounds from their positions in the East Qalamun pocket, only 8km north of the airbase.
The Al-Dumayr airbase is currently hosting a joint operations room of the Tiger Forces and the Syrian Arab army as well as several heavy rocket launchers, according to Syrian opposition activists.
In a related development, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported that militants operating in East Ghouta had shelled the districts of the Syrian capital, Damascus with more than 55 mortars and rockets over the last 24 hours.
A source of the Syrian Police in Damascus city told SANA that seven civilians were injured in the random shelling of the opposition militiamen. The source added that the shelling had resulted in massive material loses.
Jaysh al-Islam had the Rukn al-Din district in the northern part of Damascus with a heavy unguided artillery rocket on February 23. One civilian was killed and fifteen others were injured in the attack.

At the end of 2010, a series of wars began, initially presented as popular uprisings. Successively, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria and Yemen were swept under by the « Arab Spring », a reprise of the « Great Arab Revolt » of 1915, initiated by Lawrence of Arabia – with the difference that this time they would not be relying on the support of the Wahhabites, but the Muslim Brotherhood.
All these events had been carefully planned by the United Kingdom from 2004, as revealed by the internal documents of the Foreign Office leaked by the British whistle-blower Derek Pasquill [1]. With the exception of the bombing of Tripoli (Libya), in August 2011, they were born not only of the non-violent destabilisation techniques of Gene Sharp [2], but also of William S. Lind’s « 4th Generation War » [3].
Implemented by the US armies, the British project of the « Arab Spring » overlapped with that of the United States military – the destruction of societies and states at the regional level, as formulated by Admiral Arthur Cebrowski, popularised by Thomas Barnett [4], and illustrated by Ralph Peters [5].
The events seemed to calm down in the second quarter of 2012, so that on 30 June in Geneva, the United States and Russia agreed to a new distribution of the Middle East.
However, the United States did not honour their signature. A second war began in July 2012, in Syria, then in Iraq. Small groups and commandos were succeeded by vast land armies composed of jihadists. This was no longer a 4th Generation War, but a classic war of position, adapted from the techniques of Abou Bakr Naji [6].
This time, in accordance with the work of Robin Wright [7], the intention to prevent the re-opening of the « Silk Road » was superimposed on the two previous objectives when China revealed its ambition.
The events seemed to calm down during the last quarter of 2017, after the defeat of Daesh, but the investments in the conflicts were such that it seemed impossible for the partisans of war to give up without attaining their goals.
We then watched a second attempt to relaunch hostilities with the Kurdish question. After a first failure in Iraq, there was a second failure in Syria. In both cases, the violence of the aggression forced Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria to unite against their exterior enemy.
Finally, the United Kingdom decided to pursue its initial objective of domination via the Muslim Brotherhood, and for that purpose, created the « Little Group », as revealed by Richard Labeviere [8]. This secret structure includes Saudi Arabia, the United States, France and Jordan.
From their side, the United States, applying Kurt Campbell’s « Pivot to Asia » [9], have just decided to concentrate their forces against China. For that purpose, they are reforming the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue with Australia, India and Japan.
Meanwhile, Western public opinion believes that the single conflict which has already devastated all of the Greater Middle East, from Afghanistan to Libya, is a succession of civil wars for democracy.

Not sure the meaning/significance of your Aleppo and safe zones. As for that area east of the Euphrates being a US colony, let them have it. The Kurds will tire of not getting any support from the US in making that area economically viable. The longer the US stays the more it is going to cost them, with almost no possible return for their investment, and they know it.
Russia is the last country that wants a balkanized Syria. I think you have an unrealistic view of how geopolitics between different strength countries works. I would suggest you read the latest draft constitution that Russia produced for the Sochi/Astonia peace process to better understand what Russia is steering developments towards.

As for your comment on US colony , well it will never happen once the terrorist have been taken care of after which diplomatically to get US out. You might be ten times right about the precise wording of this resolution, and still it won’t matter. The West will interpret it in any way that suits them, the media will go along with it, and the chorus on SouthFront will sqeak “But… that’s cheating!” It has now been legitimized once again that Syria’s enemies have a say in how the country fights terrorists on its own soil. I hear these assurances that a ceasefire resolution won’t interfere with the E Ghouta operation–i.e., that it is meaningless. Somehow I doubt that that’s why the West pushed so hard to get it.
With the UNSC resolution on the Libyan no-fly zone, supporters of wise Kremlin policies likewise pointed to the minutiae of the text to explain that it was only about protecting civilians. Then of course the Libyan state got bulldozered over, and the Kremlin itself realized that it’d made a mistake so huge that it disqualified Medvedev from returning to the presidency. Isn’t the present situation very similar?

At the end of 2010, a series of wars began, initially presented as popular uprisings. Successively, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria and Yemen were swept under by the « Arab Spring », a reprise of the « Great Arab Revolt » of 1915, initiated by Lawrence of Arabia – with the difference that this time they would not be relying on the support of the Wahhabites, but the Muslim Brotherhood.
All these events had been carefully planned by the United Kingdom from 2004, as revealed by the internal documents of the Foreign Office leaked by the British whistle-blower Derek Pasquill [1]. With the exception of the bombing of Tripoli (Libya), in August 2011, they were born not only of the non-violent destabilisation techniques of Gene Sharp [2], but also of William S. Lind’s « 4th Generation War » [3].
Implemented by the US armies, the British project of the « Arab Spring » overlapped with that of the United States military – the destruction of societies and states at the regional level, as formulated by Admiral Arthur Cebrowski, popularised by Thomas Barnett [4], and illustrated by Ralph Peters [5].
The events seemed to calm down in the second quarter of 2012, so that on 30 June in Geneva, the United States and Russia agreed to a new distribution of the Middle East.
However, the United States did not honour their signature. A second war began in July 2012, in Syria, then in Iraq. Small groups and commandos were succeeded by vast land armies composed of jihadists. This was no longer a 4th Generation War, but a classic war of position, adapted from the techniques of Abou Bakr Naji [6].
This time, in accordance with the work of Robin Wright [7], the intention to prevent the re-opening of the « Silk Road » was superimposed on the two previous objectives when China revealed its ambition.
The events seemed to calm down during the last quarter of 2017, after the defeat of Daesh, but the investments in the conflicts were such that it seemed impossible for the partisans of war to give up without attaining their goals.
We then watched a second attempt to relaunch hostilities with the Kurdish question. After a first failure in Iraq, there was a second failure in Syria. In both cases, the violence of the aggression forced Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria to unite against their exterior enemy.
Finally, the United Kingdom decided to pursue its initial objective of domination via the Muslim Brotherhood, and for that purpose, created the « Little Group », as revealed by Richard Labeviere [8]. This secret structure includes Saudi Arabia, the United States, France and Jordan.
From their side, the United States, applying Kurt Campbell’s « Pivot to Asia » [9], have just decided to concentrate their forces against China. For that purpose, they are reforming the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue with Australia, India and Japan.
Meanwhile, Western public opinion believes that the single conflict which has already devastated all of the Greater Middle East, from Afghanistan to Libya, is a succession of civil wars for democracy.

Without making a big deal about it, Boris Johnson, British Minister of Foreign Affairs is now resuming subsidizing Adam Smith International (ASI) following a two-month break.
In December 2017, the BBC programme Panorama had shown that the ASI, supported by Her Majesty’s government to train police in the “liberated areas” (sic) of Syria, was actually funding Al-Qaeda.
Other investigations have shown that this NGO had also funded lobbying in the UN to convince diplomats that Bahrain is respecting human rights.
Put under pressure by the Labour Party, the Conservative Government had then cut the funding of the most important “humanitarian” NGO in the country.
Several scandals – from the sky-high salaries of its several of leaders to stealing confidential state documents, had then arisen, challenging several people holding key positions within the NGO. Several directors of the Adam Smith International had then resigned.
Her Majesty’s government has created a fund for security and stabilization (Conflict Stability and Security Fund— CSSF) which is funding Al-Qaeda in Syria via three humanitarian NGOs: Adam Smith International, Integrity Global and Tamkeen. The funds have been paid to the so-called “Mayor” of Aleppo (in actual fact a mouth piece for the Saudi jihadists who occupy the East of the city) and to the White Helmets (which claims to be a local organization, led by an MI6 officer which has organized both military operations and propaganda operations). Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon confirmed before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons that CSSF had pledged £66 million to Syria in 2015-16, £64 million in 2016-17, and had given £69 million for tax year 2017-18 [1].
