The Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad made his first foreign visit in four and half year. He arrived Moscow on Tuesday.
The Syrian leader held one-on-one talks with the Russian president and then with the participation of Russia’s top officials, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told media on Wednesday.
“The talks were rather lengthy and the issues discussed are clear enough,” Peskov noted. “The President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] was informed in detail by the Syrian colleague [President Bashar Assad] of the state of affairs in Syria and plans for the future,” he added.
The leaders also discussed the progress of Russia’s military operation in Syria, the fight against terrorists in Syria and various aspects of bilateral relations.
