On November 28, pro-government forces started a new combing operation in the southern and western countryside of Syria’s Deir Ezzor.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the National Defense Forces are combing the outskirts of the town of al-Mayadin, while the Palestinian al-Quds Brigade is operating in southern Deir Ezzor.

The London-based monitoring group said the Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces were backing the operation.

Besides the ongoing operation in Deir Ezzor, Russian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on ISIS terrorists and their hideouts in the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle.

“The [aerial] attack which started in the early hours of the morning and is still underway,” the SOHR said in a report. “No information has been reported on the losses.”

The SOHR claimed that 10 Syrian service members and 16 terrorists of ISIS were killed in clashes in the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle over the last few days.

ISIS terrorists, who are trapped in the Homs desert, have been working to expand their influence to Deir Ezzor, Hama, Aleppo and Raqqa for a while now. The terrorists are reportedly receiving support from U.S.-backed fighters based in the nearby area of al-Tanaf.

What is the point in these ‘combing operations’? They never seem to do any good! After it has been completed there will be yet another report of a Daesh attack coming from the very area that was recently ‘combed’!!

Jens Holm

Its eroding nd the only thin to do. But its a very ineffective job, because Assads has no soldiers edacated to skills like that and hardly any vancant troops at all.

Im more positive then You. As long as they koll each other, they dont vome here:(

Assad must stay

Al tanf is the area that really needs to be “combed”, without it the daeshbags will starve and die out in their hideouts

Rafik Chauhan

Syria has to send special force atlleast 5people in 5 gropu all over area at night . who can spend days witout food .and hide in desert and attack and give information to Air force to attack isil. Syria need some Hardcore force like Houthis who can stay longer in desert.hiding and attacking ISIL

What happened to your PS4?

Jens Holm

Assads dont have that kind of jobs and hardly any, which can educate people to be as independent as they have to be.

Houtis might be much better. Parts of them know guerilla warfare well.

There is another solution, which are blocked by Assads. They could give the SDFs what they wish for. The YPG part of the SDF are good guerillas.

People in the whole Region dont understand we in fx Denmark has local independesy for local matters and handle them much better then the Goverment in Copenhagen. We also avoid much of the corruption by giving about 50% of the tax money to the local Governess. The locals know whats needed and the money spendings are from their own wallets.

So thats where the troops shpuld come from and Assads should handle the Turks . whatever.
