Maj General Issam Zahreddine, the commander of the 104th Airborne Brigade of the Syrian Republican Guard reportedly arrived the village of Hader in the province of Quneitra. He arrived the area with an escort of 104th Airborne Brigade soldiers.
Zahreddine arrived the province in order to inspect the Syrian army’s defenses in this sensetive area amid reports that joint forces of US-led militant groups are preparing to launch a full-scale advance there.
Zahreddine is well-known as commander of pro-government forces in the province of Deir Ezzor where he lead the fight against the ISIS terrorist group. He will reportedly return to Deir Ezzor next week.
I hope this general is wise and cunning. For Israel will soon smash into Lebanon and into Syria’s Golan Heights, (possibly in 2017) and the Republican Guard is going to be needed to coordinate the Syrian Defense Forces against a violent and blood thirsty opponent.
