Warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) and the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out more than 135 airstrikes on militant-held areas on June 2, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The UK-based monitoring group said that the airstrikes targeted more than 20 towns in northern Hama, southern Idlib, northern Lattakia and western Aleppo.
Despite these intense airstrikes, the situation on the ground around Idlib remained mostly calm, with no major attacks from both sides.
If Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies cease their attacks in the upcoming few days, Russia and Turkey will likely move to implement a real ceasefire.

This doesn’t look like a cease-fire ramp up to me. Supposedly hitting, 135 targets in 20 different locations looks like classic softening up to me. I don’t see the SAA and Co. stopping on this one until some real gains have been secured, especially since Russia has declared Nusra dead enders. Who knows, they might even go all of the way. My take, Go SAA!
It is very important for Syrian and Russian governments to clean Idlib and rest of Syria from terrorists to allow all Syria to be integrated as one state. A weak Syria is not good for the stability of the region.

Ceasefire implemented by Russia-Turkey again ? Well, it looks like Russia has defined its red line for helping Syria in war matter. Nobody would be surprised if in few months terrorists carry out more attacks to Russia basis, civil people, and SAA. Too bad news for Syria, too good news for terrorists and Turkey.
This is not good news for any of us wanting to see a major offensive develop.

I remember when Syria had just a little part of it colored red, people on this forum were screaming that Russia was wrong to install ceasefire in Daara, Homs, Alepo and other areas, that Russia has abandoned Syria etc etc etc , now time has passed most of the deconflict zones are colored red, only Idlib remains, funny how quick people forget, lol.
