On October 13, Syrian security forces uncovered a weapon cache during a search operation in the newly liberated district of Yalda south of the Syrian capital of Damascus, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The weapons cache, which was buried in a farm, contained several US-made M72 LAW anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades, several RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades launchers, a Croatian-made RBG-6 40mm grenade launcher, a 12,7mm DShK machine gun, many AK-47 assault rifles, several sniper rifles, IEDs, ammunition and a night vision scope.
These weapons were likely left behind by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants, who had withdrawn from Yalda and several other districts around it last May. The withdrawal of the militants was part of the reconciliation agreement with the Damascus government.
According to local observers, HTS and other radical group left such weapons caches before withdrawing in order to use them later to carry out terrorist attacks inside the government-held area. However, the Syrian intelligence was able to find many of these caches with the help of the locals.

It looks like there are a lot of weapons to be discovered underground in many places in Syria. Of course, all of this is in preparation (by USA-Israel-NATO) for the terrorists to come back again some time later.
Why do they wrap in aluminium foil?
To fool the metal detectors..
To protect the factory finish. A lot of that stuff looks brand new while the rest shows some wear. My hunch is that this cache belonged to an arms dealer.
People will be finding this stuff for years, if not decades.
