Syrian troops have liberated 7 villages from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in southern Idlib, according to pro-government sources.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF), led by the Tiger Forces, took control over the villages of Mashrafat al Khanazir, Ard az-Zurzur, Sham al-Hawa, Umm al-Khalakhil, Qulayat at Tuwaybah and Niha. According to local sources, a major part of these villages has been captured thanks to the massive air and artillery strikes on the militants’ positions.
Pro-opposition sources argue that an advance of the SAA and the NDF had led to multiple casualties among civilians, but little photos or videos are provided to confirm these claims.
In the coming days, the Syrian military will continue pressuring Hayat Tahrir al-Sham on the southern Idlib front and most likely liberate more villages in the area.

But then again, what happens there in no way whatsoever will impact the outcome of the war, like it did with the Ramouseh artillery academy in Aleppo, or the race to Deir Ezzor.
SouthFront has a lot to keep up on with these new latest developments , things are moving fast with Idlib as I surmised. The terrorists started this front and are unable to finish it so the SAA and Coalition is knocking the shit out them everywhere, for territory with 50 km2 freed in 1 day. The SAA are back to their positions in Golan Heights since the first time in 2011. Just too much news to report on so hard to follow Khan Sheikoun and the region there will soon return to SAA and Damascus control. Like I said too much to follow with the current pace going.
In this front the Tiger Forces are advancing and taking over territory for good and it is shown than HTS and friends can’t hold Idlib. In Harasta there is a battle going on for a few building blocks, it is more cinematic but not more important.
Not to mention the Beit Jinn pocket which is basically cleared.

Syria is a country of Multi Ethnic origins as Kurds are of umpteen different backgrounds and not all as interrelated as one would think as they just assimilate all tribes still today.

Well another bunch of dead Terrorists by the SMF of Damascus (Police counter terrorism unit) these are same guys who have protected Damascus and continue to protect and 888 unit is also operating in the area of Harasta as the SAA still captures more villages in creating the 2 pockets.
It seems that they are making a push for the air base, carving out a jihadi pocket that will help secure the Aleppo highway. There is potential to develop the operation towards Khan Sheikhoun, in order to surround and destroy the jihadi southern command in Idlib. So far, in a very predictable way, the SAA is pushing to cut the jihadi pocket in 2, but they are 60 km away from their objective, 2018 just started, but i dont think jihadis in Idlib will make it to Ramadan.
That’s where you are wrong they are utilizing the Special Police Operations which has been based around Damascus to attack and remove the Jihadis and another group under Colonel Afi are working in the Harasta area. There were another several villages were taken in the area there where they split that pocket and are close to making another 2 pockets , believe ISIS will be transferred to further north as that is their goal, just not the SAA way.
