The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Hezbollah, the Tiger Forces and their allies have started a military operation to clear the remaining ISIS-held points on the western bank of the Euphrates.
The Syrian military has also deployed reinforcements to the area from the government-held parts of Hasakah.
ISIS has a large number of mobile assault units operating in the Homs desert and Euphrates Valley. This allows the terrorist group to conduct raids against the advancing government forces avoiding direct clashes.
This will be the main SAA obstacle in the area.
Reinforcements from Hassakah city, as in NDF, going to DeZ is very advisable. The NDF rabble has no place in Hassakah and are, per agreement between SAA and SDF forbidden in Hassakah city as there are no government forces allowed within that city, only police in the small security zone Assadists have within that city. The garrison of the SAA base outside of Hassakah city has been sitting there idle for over two years while the civillians in DeZ city, held by their comrades, were starving.
A matter of priorities one could say.
The audacity of those troops sitting on their asses in their base, because they thought they did not have the means and striking power to reach Deir Ezzor from Hassakah, through SDF territory. When it turns out that all they had to do was drive south and the unwashed masses of ISIS would part before them like the Red Sea. Even sign up as new recruits.
That is of course if the SDF would let them. Do you think they would have been allowed? Somehow I highly doubt it.
In real life the Hassakah base was used extensively to supply Deir Ezzor, as reinforcements were flown in from SAA territory to Hassakah and then sent to Deir Ezzor via helicopter.
Your verbiage betrays your Zionist affiliation, using demeaning language for Syrian heroic armed forces calling them “assadists” sitting idly, you are very busy sitting on Usrahelli cock and jumping.
What’s the betting that they will be allowed to retreat through Kurd occupied territory in US transport?
