The Syrian military is deploying additional Pantsir-S1 short to medium range air defense systems in southern and eastern Syria, according to pro-government sources.
Additional Pantsir-S1 systems had been deployed in the area near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, the Hezbollah media wing in Syria said on June 12. This move is clearly aimed at strengthening the air-defense capabilities of the government forces in case if Israel reacts to a military operation against militants in Daraa with airstrikes.
On June 11, reports also appeared that additional Pantsir-S1 systems will be deployed in the province of Deir Ezzor where tensions are steadily growing between government forces and the US-led coalition.
Separately, the Syrian Army and its allies repelled another ISIS attack in the Homs-Deir Ezzor desert; this time in the Humaymah-T2-Muazilah triangle. The situation on the western bank of the Euphrates remains tense.
Italian troops have deployed in the province of Deir Ezzor to support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Turkish media reported on June 12 citing local sources.
According to the report, the troops entered Syria from Iraq, reached the city of Hasakah and then arrived at the US military base in the Omar oil field area in the province of Deir Ezzor. The number of Italian troops is unknown.
The SDF has captured Tal al-Jayer, Hulwah and Daral Khattab from ISIS west of the town of Dashishah, near the Iraqi border. Summing up the recent SDF advances, the group has captured over 20 settlements.
Some rumors are going that also Dutch and Belgian Special Forces are present ?

Have posted the Rand – Partition Syria Map before … The International administration zone caught my attention years ago Is why I coment that Putin understood Syria was to be partitioned years ago. There might be some legal clause in the Former Colonial Sykes Picot agreement which Gives the Colonial trash – Now NATO….Leverage to break up and occupy Syria. I read Leon DeGrelle’s book years ago. About the Waffen SS on the Eastern front. He wrote about the Italians, and how they were more interested in drinking wine that was captured, then fighting. The Italians would tell their German counterparts that “work” did no good. He said the Germans would just walk away not knowing how to respond. Lol. The Italians enjoy the beauty in life. Not fighting and destroying it. I guess that’s the nice way of saying it.
Looks like Russia will eventually turn Syria into a no-fly zone USA/Isreals worst nightmare!
Slowly but surely, multiple tripwires are being set up in North-East Syria, to defacto built up a NATO coalition in all but name.
If and when a confrontation occurs, they will ALL be able to call in the mutual defense pact in each of their countries to defend the “innocent peace loving soldiers” of each county. This will make it much easier to shut any war critic in all of NATO member and even pull over some of the reluctant allies into the conflict.
They might even be able to use Turkey as a base to invade, if/when NATO is activated.
All these populist parties seem to be just a ploy to shush the citizens into a sleep. They are promising a lot of change you can believe in and delivering a worse recepe than the previous administrations.
I feel horrified by the new of the Italian soldiers in that place. We’re heading for a WW III, the hot version. The place it’s starting is Syria. The aggressors are the Western powers that used to be. USA can’t admit defeat.

No pics? Damn. I have always wanted to verify my father’s (he was WWII Western Desert) allegation that Italian tanks were equipped with backing lights.
During WW2 there were many Italian prisoners of war housed in camps across the UK, who presumably had been captured in North Africa. They were employed in digging up unexploded German bombs. There was one such bomb just outside my school in Erdington Birmingham. At night they were housed in an army style barracks in Sutton Park, Warwickshire.
They were transported in open trucks each day dressed in brown fatigues with distinguishing yellow patches. My young friends and I would give them the stiff arm nazi salute with our left forefinger under our nose to imitate Hitler’s mustache as they passed by. They would wave back with a smile. I don’t think they ever wanted to escape, since they were well fed and even had pocket money to spend on cigarettes in the local shops. Quite a few stayed in England after they were released, and they became waiters in posh hotels, ice cream vendors and some married English women.
