Russia is setting up a military base in the Afrin canton area controlled by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units in northwestern Syria. The agreement on establishing the base was concluded on Sunday, according to YPG spokesman Redur Xelil. The base will reportedly be located at the village of Qatmah. Russian military servicemen have already arrived in the area with armoured vehicles, trucks, and troop carriers. According to the YPG spokesman, Russian military advisors will allegedly train YPG fighters and increase cooperation with the YPG in combating terrorism.
The Russian Defense Ministry denied the creation of a military base and said that some units of the Reconciliation Centre had been deployed to the area to “observe” the ceasefire. In Any case, this will clearly contribute to further improvement of the relations between Kurdish military political entities and the Syrian government.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), predominantly consisting of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), have taken control of Karamah, Tal Fatisah, Khardal, and the Balasim oil storage east of the ISIS-controlled city of Raqqah. The SDF advance was actively backed by the US military. At least one Apache attack helicopter was spotted supporting the SDF advance.

If the SAA continues it’s success it will be on the backs of Hezbollah , Iranian commandos and foreign Shia fighters. What the Russians need to do is build a Palestinian brigade. Palestnians are loyal to Syria because they provided refuge to them. They’re also good fighters as evident from the Aleppo offensive.

It’s unbelievable how quick the situation turn around. If you’ve noticed the Palmira operation is on hold and the dislocation of the troops on that front to Damascus has already started, which comes to show that the break through it’s not really under control. For anyone with minimal knowledge about military will tell you that dislocating troops hundreds kilometers away in a situation of insecure road and transport system is challenging, time and resource consuming and is quite an undertaking. Therefore we can conclude that terrorist achieved their goal and managed to disrupt the operations of the SAA. It is vital advantage to chose where, when and how a battle is conducted. Sad but fact. i’m worried that East Qalamoon barbarians are going to lunch offensive in attempt to link with Ghutah

This situation with attacks on multiple fronts has been ongoing since the beginning of Syrian war. Actually the situation is quite good for the Syrian government compare to some years ago or even during last Aleppo offensive. I mean ISIS is much weaker and there are far fewer fronts with other terrorist grupps (greens). Moreover the ability of Turkey to manipulate the situation has been reduced to the Idlib areas, which I believe to be behind this fury. As decades long conflicts are not uncommon in Middle East, this battle in SyrAq is going to continue for some years to come but I believe the Syrian government, the Iraqi government and Kurds are visibly the winers of this game.
Tiger forces,Hezbollah and Kurdish fighters are the best fighters in Syria.If their can coordinate their win this war in weeks.
