The US is seeking to reanimate insurgency in southern Syria. According to the pro-militant Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a number of Free Syrian Army commanders that fled Syria in 2018 are now working to form a new militant group, the Army of the South, to attack “Iranian militias” in the region. The allegedly closed U.S. Military Operation Center in Jordan will reportedly support the new group.
Over the past few months, the security situation in southern Syria became more complicated with an increasing number of IED attacks and assassinations aimed against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
The SAA uncovered loads of weapons during a search operation in the newly-captured town of al-Lataminah in northern Hama. The discovered weapons included several mortar cannons of different calibers, at least two Grad 122mm rockets, RPG-18 and RPG-26 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades as well as a RPO-A thermobaric rocket launcher.
Militants of Jaysh al-Izza, a close ally of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, apparently left behind these weapons. The group’s members fled the town last month following a successful attack by the SAA.
On September 5, the Russian Defense Ministry denied recent reports claiming that several Russian service members were killed in a blast near the town of Jurin in northwestern Hama. These false claims were first published by Vedomosti business daily before being picked up by multiple Russian and Syrian media outlets.
Such reports appear to be a part of new propaganda wave aimed against the SAA and Russia. Such propaganda campaigns are often being launched amid important military or diplomatic developments in Syria, and the Middle East in general.

Another propaganda story from the fat little dwarf that’s not surprising, and the fact SF just published another propaganda piece for the fat little dwarf isn’t surprising either [I’ve nearly gotten used to it now], but what is surprising though is some readers still fall for it, despite the fact that many posters like me continually call out SF for doing it. They publish propaganda pieces that are written by the enemy and worse still only benefit the enemy all the time, and with hardly a mention it’s from an Anti Assad pro terrorist site basically funded by the Brits. This time they did but I’m still annoyed they published the story without a severe warning, this is just a confusing spin piece intended to obscure the truth, and SF should have made that clear in an addition to republishing the allegation. I suggest readers check out for themselves just who this guy is and what he stands for, I don’t think there’s anyone on earth who could possibly hate Assad more than this devious little creep does, so anything he publishes should be appraised with the utmost scepticism and disregarded if there’s no other reliable sources to confirm what he’s asserting. He absolutely loves Erdogan and the headchoppers more than anyone does, they’re his heroes and he’s proud to say it, that alone should make people wary of anything he says, but the fact he’s really dirty on Trump for abandoning the FSA in Daraa last year and not lending air support to the rebels/terrorists in Idlib now, means he’s not so hot on Trump anymore, and during that same campaign King Abdullah actually closed his border when the SAA was attacking the FSA, HTS and Isis, effectively trapping them in Daraa and Quneitra for the SAA to annihilate [remember the white helmets were trapped too and had to flee through Israel], and then King Abdullah reopened the border when Assad asked him to so the Syrian refugees could return to Syria, and coincidentally both King Abdullah and Trump started saying Assad could remain in power just before that SAA campaign began, since then neither men have been in the fat little dwarfs good books. And just a few days ago Trump killed 40 of his heroes in Idlib with an airstrike, and surprise surprise today we have this totally unbelievable allegation that’s so ridiculous it’s nearly funny. Trump ended all support for the FSA last year and refused to aid them with air support when the SAA gave them hell, but this year Trumps supposedly going to re-establish the partnership to encourage them to once again mount a resistance effort against Assad, LOL LOL LOL. When was the last time anyone heard Trump say he no longer wants Assad to remain in power, they haven’t because he hasn’t changed his line, Trump’s still saying Assad can remain in power, he has no problems, the only thing Trump said about Assad recently was this, Assad should try really hard to avoid civilian casualties when he’s trying to take back Idlib, and Assad’s been more than really careful, so there’s no friction or problem that I can see between Assad and Trump. But there’s a sh-tload of US sanctions imposed on Turkey right now and they’re all designed to do the most harm they can to the Turkish economy, which in turn will effectively bring Erdogan to his knees and make him much more compliant to US demands, something he hasn’t been for nearly a decade now. Is it really in the US’s best interests now to help Erdogan stop the refugees, no it isn’t, and I only say that because if it was in the US’s best interests, they would have already done something about it. The fact the EU, NATO, and the US have all refused to assist Erdogan stem the flow of refugees in Idlib should be screaming collusion to everyone with a thinking brain, none of the parties we could expect Erdogan to rely on for help have come to his rescue, none, the only knight in shining armour is Putin, he’s the only one doing something to help Erdogan out of the catastrophe he can’t escape on his own, Putin’s holding the other end of the only lifeline Erdogan has left now. But the lifeline Putin’s holding for Erdogan is really slippery, the SAA have sabotaged the rope by pouring grease on it and rubbing it all over, now it means just one bad grip from either Putin or Erdogan and one of them will lose hold of the lifeline. Keep up the sporadic shelling brave SAA soldiers, defying Putin is the only way you’re going to win this war now, not enough shelling to make him angry and resentful, but just enough to keep the refugees moving north faster than the Turks and their HTS henchmen can stop them.
