Taliban members are storming the capital of the Afghan province of Farah – the city of Farah, according to Afghan sources.
The media says that since May 14 the Taliban has stormed the city from four directions, has captured the National Directorate of Security building and has reached the governor’s compound.
Local sources say that the city, which has 50,000 residents, may fall into the Taliban’s hands soon.

The attack of Farah is a part of the Tabliban’s “Spring Offensive” launched in April. According to Afghan media, Kohistan district in Badakhshan province, Belchiragh district in Faryab province and Tala Wa Barfak district in Baghlan province have been captured by the Taliban.
