On April 12, Taliban fighters captured the administrative building and the police headquarters in the Khwaja Omari district of the eastern Ghazni province during a large scale attack, the Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad reported.

The Taliban said that its fighters were able to kill 20 servicemembers of the Afghan Army, Police and Government in the attack, including “Ali Shams Dost”, the governor of Khwaja Omari district.

The Voice of Jihad also reported that 20 other members of the Afghan Army and Police had been killed in a series of hit and run attacks in other areas of Ghazni province during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Afghan Police confirmed in an official statement that Shams Dost had been killed in the Taliban attack on the Khawaja district. However, the Police said that the Taliban had lost 27 of its fighters during the attack and had not been able to capture the district.

“Ali Shams Dost was killed with seven other policemen during the clashes and some parts of the district governor’s compound was also torched,” the Afghan Police said in its official statement, according to the Afghan TOLO TV.

The Taliban has stepped up its operations against the Afghan Army and Police in the Ghazni province since the beginning of this year. On January 31, Taliban fighters killed more than 12 Afghan Army soldiers in a single attack in Shalgar district of Ghazni. However, the Afghan authorities and NATO appear to be incapable of facing these threat.

What awesome news. Wish we got to see the bodies bleeding out with the nice uniforms they have on.

You can call me Al

Not sure about that James. These are just normal Afgans being eliminated due to the invading Yankers wanting Opium ……now, if they targeted the cause of the problems, that would be different !!.
