Taliban Launches Coordinated Attack In Southern Afghanistan

On June 1, the Taliban launched a coordinated attack on several checkpoints of the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the Afghan National Police (ANP) in the district of Nawa of the southern province of Helmand, according to the Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad.

The Taliban claimed that its fighters had killed and injured at least seventeen personnel of the ANA and the ANP during the attack. An armored vehicle of the ANA was also destroyed by Taliban fighters.

Voice of Jihad reported that warplanes of the NATO carried out several airstrikes on Taliban fighters in Nawa, but failed to repel the attack. Two children were injured in these airstrikes, according to the source.

According to the Taliban, the attack in Nawa is a part of its spring offensive, codenamed “Operation al-Khandagh”, which was launched on April 25 in response to Washington’s decision to increase the US military presence in Afghanistan.

During the last two weeks, the US military in Afghanistan targeted several headquarters of the Taliban in Helmand with heavy rockets and claimed that seventy commanders of the Taliban were killed. However, the recent attacks of the Afghan group prove that these strikes were not effective enough.

This is what happened in Vietnam, it won’t be long before the US is evacuating its people.

You can call me Al

It happened with the Russians before that and every single invader beforehand.

The graveyard of empires.

This is something only Taliban terrorists do; proclaim a ‘military offensive’ against one guy, fight another guy, twist all this into political rhetoric that is used as an excuse to smuggle opium, embezzle funds, and extort locals.
