A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Taliban’s chief for Maymi district of Badakhshan region Zia-ul-Haq was killed and two militants were wounded in a clash with Afghan security forces;
- At least 3 soldiers were killed in a Taliban car bomb explosion at a public security base in Gardez, Paktia province;
- Afghanistan Minister of Foreign Affairs Haneef Atmar held talks with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Sohial Mahmood in Kabul. Atmar stressed the need to stop rocket attacks from the both sides of the Durand Line, stop the construction of arbitrary military facilities and keep open trade routes between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

These guys are so determined that even with simple assault rifles they are able to drive out the strongest army of the world. They did that with the strongest army of 80s as well. No one was able to do it twice in 50years. wow, just wow. And seems like China is interested in that area. But doubt they will go for 3rd attempt.
