A large explosion took place in Kabul on November 30. At least five people, including members of the Taliban, were injured as a result of the incident.
According to local reports, the road-side bomb exploded on Dar-ul-Aman Avenue not far from a school. According to unconfirmed reports, the target of the attack was an open-backed vehicle like a Toyota Hilux.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion yet.

At the same time, Taliban forces carried out a counterterrorism operation in the city of Jalalabad, capital of the eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province. In early hours, Taliban fighters raided the ISIS hideouts in the 1st Police District of the city. As a result, heavy clashes erupted. According to reports, several ISIS members were killed. The Taliban officials are yet to comment on the issue.
The Taliban’s operation in Jalalabad is likely a response to the recent ISIS attacks on vehicles belonging to the Taliban members. On November 22, ISIS claimed responsibility for attacks on Taliban vehicle in the PD1 and PD3 of the city of Jalalabad.

The Taliban conducts operations against the terrorist group’s cells and supporters on a regular basis. Yet, the group’s influence continues to grow. The group may soon attempt to take over some parts of Afghanistan.
Over the past months, Afghanistan has been suffering bombings, armed attacks and shootings in various provinces, including the capital region, the victims of which were both Taliban and local residents. ISIS-K appears to be intensifying its operations in the Afghan capital, challenging the very heart of the Taliban’s new regime.
