UPDATED: Taliban's Leader Came To Kabul To Get Power Over Afghanistan (Videos)

Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar at the presidential palace in Kabul

UPDATE: The Taliban denied claims that the leader of its political wing, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, had arrived in the capital of Afghanistan from Qatar.

Kabul reported reaching agreement between Ghani and Taliban on peaceful transfer of power, following the claims by Taliban that the whole country’s territory was under the group’s control.

Currently, representatives of the United States, NATO and the Taliban are negotiating the transfer of power in the Presidential Palace in Kabul. Taliban delegation, led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, reportedly came from Qatar to Kabul for final negotiations.

President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani should resign in the next few hours. It was confirmed by Afghan Interior Minister Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal, who said that there would be a “peaceful transfer of power” to a transitional government.

“Negotiations are under way to ensure that the transition process is completed safely and securely, without compromising the lives, property and honour of anyone, and without compromising the lives of Kabulis,” a Taliban statement said.

The interim government is seen to be headed by former Afghan Interior Minister Ali Ahmad Jalali under Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

By that moment, the Taliban fighters peacefully entered the districts of Kalakan, Qarabagh and Paghman in Kabul.

The Taliban forces are waiting on outskirts of the Afghan capital. Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen assured that they were instructed not to open fire in the city until the capital’s surrender.

Some clashes  were reported on the outskirts of Kabul, and not inside the city.

The “green zone” in the center of the capital, where the embassies of foreign states are located, is now under control of the U.S. troops. They also ensure the security of the capital’s airport as well as the Presidential Palace where the final negotiations are taking place.

Three helicopters of the US Armed Forces were waiting at the palace, the Iranian newspaper Tehran Times reported.

Meanwhile, U.S. Air Force is now evacuation representatives of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Kabul.

The Taliban called on banks and state institutions to work normally, and residents-for security reasons, not to leave their homes, promising that they will not take revenge on anyone and will grant amnesty to all those who serve under the current Kabul administration.

The chief of staff to President Ashraf Ghani on Twitter urged the people of Kabul: “Please don’t worry. There is no problem. The situation of Kabul is under control.”

However, a big part of the locals tried to flee from the capital.

While the capital is falling under the Taliban’s control, Afghan troops surrender Bagram Airfield that once was a key US airbase.

At least they learned something about women’s liberation. At least we teach them that. They learned something, we learned something and we won, and thats the way how it should be. Now we can just be friends as we did it with the cabbage heads of Vietcong.
