Tensions are growing between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and Arab tribes on the eastern bank of the Euphrates.
According to a joint statement shared by the pro-opposition outlet Deir Ezzore Now, the Kurdish group, which captured the region, does not represent interests of the people. In turn, the statement says, the SDF is trying to destroy the existing system of social relations in order to consolidate own control over the captured areas. The statement rejects the presence of the SDF and the US-led coalition in eastern Syria accusing them of attempting to demographic, political and cultural aggression.

The tensions between the US-backed Kurdish leadership and the general population on eastern Syria is no secret. However, these tensions have recently increased. The SDF and the US-led coalition are no more ‘fighting ISIS’, which is supposedly defeated. So, the US-backed Kurdish-dominated group is now mostly tasked with supressing the local resistance to its pro-US, anti-Syrian course.
Boo hoo…another sleepless night ahead for me!!!
They can kill themselves. Win-win for everyone
