The Kiev regime continues killing civilians in the regions it lost. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are shelling private houses and civilian facilities in the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhie. On October 28, more civilians fell victims of the bloody attacks.
During the whole day, the AFU have been shelling the city of Donetsk, including the districts in the city center, and towns located nearby. Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka are under fire all day long. Armed Ukrainian formations are carrying out chaotic strikes on residential areas. They shell civilians with rocket and barrel artillery. There are dead and wounded. As a result of the deliberate attacks, three civilians were killed and several others were injured on October 28 alone.
A woman born in 1949 was killed in Makeevka. Two men were killed in the Kuibyshev district.

One of the targets for the Ukrainian artillery was the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics in the center of Donetsk. A rocket from the MLRS hit the 8th floor of the building located near residential quarters. Fortunately, the attack resulted in no casualties.
Civilians are also wounded by the petal mines after the AFU mined the streets with the prohibited munition. On October 27, a young man was wounded after the explosion in the village of Novoluganskoe. So far, 81 civilians, including 3 children, has been wounded by PFM-1 mines in the DPR. One of the injured died in hospital as a result of the injury.
In the Luhansk People’s Republic, the AFU shelled the town of Pervomaisk with the US-made M142 HIMARS MLRS. 2 31 GMLRS missiles hit a private house in the town. As a result of the attack, a woman born in 1991 was killed, a residential building was destroyed, and 8 residential buildings and 3 cars were damaged.

In the Kherson region, as a result of three strikes over the previous few days, a school in the village of Chkalovo was completely destroyed. The village is constantly shelled by expensive high-precision 155-mm M982 Excalibur guided shells. Unlike the Ukrainian military, Russian servicemen do not use civilian facilities in military purposes as they are easy targets for enemy artillery. In turn, Ukrainian forces continue destroying civilian infrastructure.

Not all rockets can be intercepted, especially if fire in salvos. Artillery munitions are too many and small to be seriously intercepted by anything, missiles are too costly and not enough effective anyway against it.

this will not be fought with rush decisions by the new general. emotional responses will get you nowhere (or where the enemy wants you to be). the infrastructure destruction will not allow supplies to be sent to the frontlines (makes it more difficult) which will wear down those fighting in there. new foreign equipment will be more limited, more effort will need to be made to transfer military equipment which leads to mistakes in showing your supply lines to the enemy. destruction of energy production wears down the military command. destruction of a lot of regional command centres means that the central command takes over in trivial decisions that they should not waste time on.
on the contrary to what you think i believe russia is putting their enemy exactly where they want them to be, in an optimal position to be destroyed. the new russian regions have now been able to defend their positions although they are in a numerical disadvantage. the effectiveness of the counter offensive is diminishing by the hour while russian defences are getting reinforced and solidified.
for the pro-russian population this means they should look in a bright future. just get out of harm’s way like in kherson.
for those opposing russia, it is a bleak prospect to see this go so well against their hegemonic united states master when they were told that russia is just a regional power.
never consider positional battles as something that make a difference in these kinds of operations. gaining ground but having lost thousands while not being able to kill your enemies is never a win, it can be turned into a short-term political win but that is all it can ever be.
