Overnight on March 13, the Federal Security Service carried out a security operation in order to detain a terrorist in the settlement of Ekaterinovka, Samara Oblast.
During the operation, the terrorist opened fire and threw a grenade at FSB offiers. Then, he was elminated. Security forces suffered no casualties.
Weapons, ammunition and an IED were seized on the scene.
According to a press statement by the National Anti-terrorism Committee, the eliminated terrorist was preparing to conduct a terrorist act.
