Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) terrorists, who control most of the Syria’s Idlib de-escalation zone, are not giving up on staging false flag attacks using chemical weapons against civilians, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told media on January 31.

“Tensions around the Idlib de-escalation zone are not on the decline,” she said. “The militants of the al-Nusra allied Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, who are running the show there, do not only shell nearby settlements on a daily basis, but are also actively building up their contingents near the contact line with the Syrian government forces.”

Zakharova voiced serious concerns over incoming reports that the terrorists “have not abandoned efforts to stage a chemical attack against civilians.” She added that according to reports, a group of White Helmets members has prepped some Idlib hospitals in order to film these anticipated provocations.

Moscow, Damascus and Teheran voice concerns over chemical attacks preparations in the Idlib de-escalation zone on the constant basis. However, this threat cannot be removed while the area remains in the hands of terrorists.

The Syria-Hezbolah-Iran-Russia offensive on Idlib must starts right away, and the Turkey-Russia agreement to create a “safe heaven area” for the terrorists must be sent to the toilet. Russia must stop to trying to stop this offensive since the terrorists all over Syria land must be eliminated.

Unfortunately, those three mentions of “Russia” in your comment don’t seem to refer to the same entity. Various factions in Russia are trying to pull the Syria policy in this or that direction, and not all of those factions still remember the stated purpose of the Syria intervention. Washington must be watching the drama with great delight.
