The highway leading to Pokrovsk has been cut by Russian forces. The Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the settlements of Poltavka and Okhotniche in the Zaporizhzhia area. Russian units have completed an operation to clear the area south of the Kleban-Byk Reservoir. Financial support for Kyiv from Western nations is consistently decreasing.
Pokrovsk direction:
Intense fighting continues on the approaches to Pokrovsk. Russian units have expanded their zone of control in the town of Rodinskoye, threatening the communication lines of the Ukrainian forces. According to some sources, Russian forces have cut the road leading from Pokrovsk to Grishino, although Ukrainian units in the city continue to be supplied via alternative routes through the northern outskirts.
In the west of Pokrovsk, Russian units have consolidated their positions to the north of Leontovichi. However, according to some reports, Ukrainian forces continue operations in the Leontovichi and Zverevo area. Within Pokrovsk’s city limits, Russian units are operating in areas beyond the railway line.
Zaporizhzhia direction:
In the eastern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian units of the «East» grouping are building on their success following their crossing of the Yanchur River. According to Russian sources, control has been established over the two settlements of Poltavka and Okhotniche as a result of combat operations. It is reported that the 57th Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army conducted the river crossing in several sectors.
Following intense fighting, Ukrainian forces retreated westwards, enabling Russian troops to advance towards Novonikolaevka and Uspenovka without having to cross the river again.
There has been an increase in combat activity in adjacent sectors of the front. Attacks have been recorded in open terrain from the direction of Novogrigorovka, and clashes are reportedly ongoing in the Vishnevoye area. According to Russian data, on the Alekseevka – Sosnovka line, Ukrainian forces are conducting counterattacks in an attempt to regain lost positions near Stepovoye.
The current operational situation could potentially lead to an offensive towards Gulyaypole, which would threaten the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas surrounding the settlements of Veseloye, Zeleny Gai and Chervonoye.
Kharkiv direction:
Russian units continue operations on the left bank of the Volchya River in Vovchansk. According to Russian military sources, around 30 buildings were cleared in the last 24 hours and the Russian forces advanced up to 350 metres. In the Tikhoye area, Russian units have advanced 300 metres, with the Ukrainian side undertaking counterattacks involving the 11th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade and the 157th Separate Mechanised Brigade.
In the Melovoye-Khatneye sector, Russian units have advanced 500 metres in the Otradnoye area, according to operational data. Russian aviation has struck targets in the Dvurechenskoye and Bologovka areas.
Konstantinovka direction:
Intense combat operations are ongoing in several sectors. According to Russian sources, Russian Armed Forces units have completed an operation to clear the area south of the Kleban-Byk Reservoir, and continue offensive operations in the Berestok and Pleshcheevka regions.
In Konstantinovka itself, Russian units are fighting in urban areas. The advance is reportedly being complicated by a prepared defensive line in the Saturinovka area, where Ukrainian forces have established positions in farmsteads. This fortified area is located at the intersection of Miroshenichenko and Sobornosti streets.
In the Pleshcheevka area, Russian units have reportedly taken control of around half of the settlement and are consolidating their position along the railway line, according to operational data. Combat in this area is characterised by the active use of all types of weaponry, including unmanned aerial vehicles, mortars and small arms, by both sides.
Clashes continue in the sector between Pleshcheevka and Aleksandro-Shultino. Russian sources report artillery and UAV activity against Ukrainian unit positions, which they claim are attempting to regroup. There has been a significant reduction in vehicle traffic on the road to Druzhkovka, which, according to some estimates, has decreased three to fourfold compared to previous months.
Lyman direction:
In the direction of Lyman, Russian units continue to conduct offensive operations in several sectors. According to confirmed reports, the village of Derilovo has fallen, after which Russian forces advanced towards Novosyolovka, the northern outskirts of Drobyshevo and the wooded areas around Yarovaya.
Further east, units of the «West» grouping have advanced in the Mirnoye area and its surroundings, where fighting continues north of Stavkov. Heavy fighting continues on the southern flank in the Yampol area, where Russian units have consolidated their positions in part of the built-up area. However, a «grey zone» remains in the centre of the settlement.
Conclusion:
The operational situation is characterised by high-intensity hostilities being maintained on most fronts. On the Zaporizhzhia axis, the key event was the completion of the operation to take control of Poltavka. This paves the way for the next stage of the offensive on the western bank of the Yanchur River. On the Pokrovsk axis, significant attention is being given to blockade actions – Russian units have cut the Pokrovsk-Grishino highway and increased pressure on Rodinskoye, which is making it difficult for the Ukrainian grouping to manage its logistics. On the Konstantinovka axis, urban combat is gradually beginning to escalate, with Russian units operating on the eastern outskirts of the city and Ukrainian forces preparing defensive lines in Saturinovka farmsteads. On the Lyman axis, Russian units are advancing steadily, particularly in the Drobyshevo area, which endangers the Ukrainian grouping’s communications in Lyman.
Problems with military funding for Ukraine continue to escalate on the diplomatic front. According to data from international media outlets, the actual volume of financial support for Kyiv from Western states is steadily decreasing. Statistics cited in publications show that European commitments fell by 57% in the summer months compared to the first half of the year, dropping from an average of 3.8 billion euros per month to 1.9 billion euros. Total monthly military aid from all donor countries was around 40% lower than in the first six months.
Publications note that European partners are facing systemic difficulties in supplying Ukraine with certain types of weaponry. These issues are related to both a lack of necessary technologies and limited production capacities that do not allow for large-scale series production. The situation has become particularly acute following the reduction in funding from the United States, which had previously been the main donor. At the same time, some analysts note that available weapon stocks in certain European countries, particularly those in the south, are not always sent to Kyiv, further complicating the Ukrainian position.
