The Syrian army units repelled an ISIS attack in order to take control of a strategic base in the West-Central province of Hama on Friday.
The attack took place in the base in the Northeastern parts of Mafkar al-Sharqi region when the ISIS terrorist did an unsuccessful attempt to infiltrate into the base. Several terrorists were killed and more of them were wounded in the attack.
On Thursday, the Syrian army and its allies were reported to have killed ISIS terrorists, and destroying their ammunition in the Eastern part of the Hama province. The information was released by a field source.
According to the same source, the ambush resulted in the destruction of a truck, loaded with weapns and ammunitions which were intended to be used by ISIS terrorists in al-Sheikh Hilal village in Hama’s Eastern regions.
“The Syrian army soldiers who were tipped off by intelligence agents managed to ambush the vehicle fully laden with mines and artillery shells in Hama province and killed all militants escorting the cargo,” the military sources added.
