Written by Damir Nazarov

The new decree of the self-proclaimed dictator and former leader of Syrian al-Qaeda has demonstrated the extent to which the Takfiri regime is trying to please Zionism and the Turks. Experts note that the cancellation of the national holiday commemorating the Syrian army’s liberation of part of its lands captured by Zionism in 1973 and the commemoration of the Syrian martyrs executed by the Ottomans in 1916 demonstrates that Syria under Takfirism has effectively become a dividing line between Zionists and Turkey. The “Israeli” occupation of areas in Daraa and the near-total Turkish subjugation of Aleppo further confirm the theory that a Libyan scenario is beginning to unfold in Syria.

It is clear why the so-called Ahmed al-Sharaa erased the date 1973 from Syrian memory: he simply wants to continue the policy of groveling before Zionism in the hope that they will not initiate the process of dismantling a united Syria, and consequently the collapse of the Tahrir al-Sham dictatorship. Why did the Damascus dictator erase the crimes of the Ottomans? Turkish influence is at work. (Or Trump’s influence?)

So, the Turks are trying to completely annex Aleppo and Idlib, against this background, Zionism is expanding its activities in Deraa. Syria is a factional country, so it’s easy to split it into pieces, but in the long run, Syria is part of the Silk Road, so the Libyan scenario is not an obstacle to Syria’s integration into Chinese plans. Attempts to erase the identity of the Syrians will only meet with national resistance and the Turks will have to live with it, because the crimes of the Ottomans have already been described on the Internet, and if Syria becomes a Chinese highway, then a priori it will have access to all technologies, allowing Syrians to remember a century of Ottoman oppression.

Therefore, Turkish political strategists are disgracing themselves and only wasting their time trying to change the Arabs of Syria. Most likely, someone in Turkey received money from the budget for the “re-education of Syrians,” but in doing so, they have created new problems for themselves. The erasure of Syrian identity coincides with the opinion of the US ambassador to Turkey, who endlessly praises the Ottoman Empire. However, China has a different perspective, and the Turks will inevitably submit to China’s dictates when Beijing orders them to stop bullying Syrian Arabs and begin a process of reconciliation and integration into the Silk Road. All this will happen soon, immediately after the collapse of Trumpism. Thus, we are witnessing a cold war between the US and China through Turkey on the territory of Syria.

While Zionism is trying to create a buffer zone in southern Syria to prevent the emergence of a local resistance outpost, the Turks are trying to “kill several birds with one stone.” The Erdogan regime is flirting with all Syrians, trying to ride any wave of change. Under the guise of friendship with jihadists (which doesn’t prevent them from still being considered terrorists), Ankara has established contacts with former Syrian army officers and even offered to integrate the Kurds of Rojava into its project to seize northern Syria(Misak-i-Milli). In this way, Ankara is trying to please its two main allies, the United States and China. While Trump sits in the Oval Office, Erdogan is forced to tolerate the Tahrir al-Sham regime, or prepare for another option, one that entails a federalized Syria, in which case the “friendship” would be with the Kurds of the YPG. Everything depends on who wins within the Republican establishment on the Syrian front: will it be the Zionists seeking to divide Syria or the isolationists seeking a united Syria under the leadership of yesterday’s al-Qaeda.

The Chinese features of Turkish policy lie in an attempt to establish cooperation with absolutely all major players in Syria, as noted above.

The task of “keeping abreast of the winds of change in Syria” is important for Turkey due to the factor of Chinese discontent. Beijing views Syria as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, and therefore, as China’s strategic partner, Turkey is obligated to prevent chaos and ensure rapid stabilization. In addition to the strong divisions throughout Syria, the situation is further complicated by the presence of foreign jihadists and the Zionist occupation, forcing China to pressure Erdoğan to address these issues. The Turkish dictator is aware of his vulnerability due to the explosive situation inside his country, so he is forced to react, which giving rise to various theories and rumors that the Turks are deliberately pushing the Jabhat Nusra(now known as Tahrir al-Sham) regime into conflict with the Kurds, Alawites, and Druze, thereby eliminating the Takfiri international and, on the other hand, compelling separatist leaders to come to Ankara for talks.

Returning to the pernicious role of the current dictator in Damascus, one can be sure that no matter how hard he tries to please his external “partners,” they will ultimately get rid of him.

Today, Syria is no longer just a battlefield or a clash of strategic regional projects. It has become the site of a new kind of Cold War, where the main battle is taking place within the conflict’s main influential parties. In Syria’s case, these are Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the most hyped “Syrian political figures” in the current post-Assad era are nothing more than mere puppets. This is the fate of radicals (Muhammad al-Julani) and separatists (Mazloum Abdi), but this status certainly does not apply to Abu Jihad Rida.

syria = artificial nation not based on tribe or ethnicity. the west loved setting up dysfunctional territories with newly created boundaries that would fight among themselves. they felt they were easier to manage that way.
