This Is How Russia & The United States Are Cooperating In Syria

Written by Federico Pieraccin; Originally appeared at The Strategic Culture Foundation

Since Donald Trump became President of the United States, we have been witnessing some interesting developments in Syria. We have only fragmentary and seemingly unconnected information at this time, but, as one puts the pieces of the puzzle together, it appears likely that some kind of deeper level of coordination between the US and Russia exists. While it cannot be said with certainty, Trump and Putin have probably agreed to cooperate in the fight against Daesh in Syria without making it publicly known. These represent only intentions, especially after the misunderstanding in recent days about joint strikes between Moscow and Washington against Daesh in Syria.

The following list is intended to facilitate an understanding of a tentative hypothesis that posits secret coordination between the US and Russia.

Let us start with some points concerning recent months.

1. Russia has fought terrorism in Syria for nearly two years, repeatedly requesting the US to cooperate in this effort, at least in terms of sharing sensitive information on intelligence.

2. Trump, during the election campaign, always said he would be willing to work with Moscow to fight terrorism in Syria, focusing on Daesh as the number one priority.

3. Once becoming president, Trump reiterated this position without backtracking, as many had anticipated.

4. Over the past ten days (21st23rd and 31st January 2017) the Russian Federation has conducted at least two aviation missions involving as many as six Tu-22M3 strategic bombers over the village of Deir ez-Zor, representing an important display of firepower.

5. The Russian Ministry of Defense (MOD) reported that they targeted structures and facilities used for making weapons in addition to the command centers and arms depots of Daesh.

6. The areas around Deir ez-Zor have been under Daesh control for a very long time.

Now let us look at some recent but rather obscure events that have never been fully clarified.

7. The most cryptic news coming out of Syria usually involves areas around Deir ez-Zor and Palmyra, which has included the cowardly bombing by the international coalition of the Syrian Army on September 17, 2016, and also in recent weeks, as well as the extraordinary crossing of hundreds of Daesh members from Mosul to Deir ez-Zor that did not provoke any air intervention from the international coalition.

8. Given the above, it is likely that the American deep state (CIA and State Department) is in contact with Daesh, coordinating the repeated attacks on the Syrian state.

Some considerations on the Russian operations in Syria, in addition to the earlier observations.

9. From experience, thanks to the story of the heroic sacrifice of Alexander Prokhorenko, we know that Russian aviation relies on Russian special forces (acting as spotters) for bombings in such locations as Palmyra and Deir ez-Zor, relying on such soldiers to identify and confirm targets on the ground that are often disguised as civilian structures (e.g., weapons-manufacturing plants and arms depots). But we also know how dangerous and difficult it is for spotters to infiltrate such areas.

10. Russian strategic bombers have employed «dumb» bombs that do not require laser-guided targeting systems. Evidently Russians have been confident in their ordnance hitting their targets.

11. Given points (1), (6), (9), (10) and the repeated attacks in recent days of strategic bombers, it is evident that the Russian ministry of defence has acquired new, previously unknown intelligence information regarding ground targets in the area of ??Deir ez-Zor that was. Moscow has been requesting from Washington the sharing of intelligence information for years now. The Obama administration has consistently refused to cooperate. Trump has always offered the opposite.

In addition, a note on recent news of joint efforts between the American and the Russian air forces in Syria.

12. The episode involving the joint bombing conducted by the Russians and Americans (but denied by sources in the international coalition) has taken on a particular significance when Trump’s spokesman, Sean Spicer, declined to comment on the story, perhaps indicating possible differences of opinion between the Trump administration and members of the US-led international coalition.

Finally, two logical deductions, consistent with those reported previously.

13. It is very likely that Moscow received from American sources, thanks to the points (7) and (8), the coordinates of Daesh in Deir ez-Zor. This would also explain the issues covered (4), (9) and (10).

14. The Russian MOD has not released information on how they acquired the information that led to the bombing of the past days.

Conclusions.

In summary, we can draw a picture of events in recent days in Syria, assuming a hidden coordination between Moscow and Washington.

We know, for example, that Trump does not intend to overthrow the Assad government. With no need for ground troops (AKA terrorists), the newly established administration does not intend to finance or arm «moderate rebels», as was repeatedly stated by the new president in the election campaign.

Equally likely is that as a result of the US-Russian joint mission in Syria against Daesh, confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defence and repeated by RT and not denied by Spicer (12), the US deep state (especially the Republican Party, the mainstream media and intelligence communities at high levels) has strongly protested against this, maintaining the traditional hostility towards Moscow.

It is therefore likely that the Trump administration has gone from active support (joint missions) to hidden coordination with Moscow to avoid further friction with some of the components of the so-called ‘deep state’.

To confirm this hypothesis, strategic bombers have struck with unguided bombs targets that were previously unknown, probably thanks to newly acquired intelligence (otherwise it is not clear why these targets would have not been previously engaged in such missions given the critical situation in Deir ez-Zor for the Syrian Arab Army).

Regarding paragraphs (6), (7) and (8), it is easy to understand why it is likely that this kind of information is in the possession of Washington. This is also one of the reasons why the previous administration has consistently refused to cooperate with Moscow. The American deep state has deep, hidden links with terrorism in Syria, and the US intelligence community has every intention of maintaining these secrets.

In conclusion, the call scheduled between Trump and Putin on Saturday, January 28 is another indication of an agreement that is currently developing without much publicity to combat terrorism in Syria. Keeping an eye on the situation in Syria and the talks between the US and Russia over the coming days, it will become easier to evaluate the accuracy of this tentative hypothesis.

This article is garbage. Just the other day Trump sent Humvees to ‘so called moderate rebels’. Just because there is a change in Presidents, doesn’t mean there will be a change of Pentagon/CIA/Mossad policy in Syria.

The Russian Mission in Damascus just yesterday came under very precise mortar fire, coordinates probably supplied by Israeli’s or U.S. intel.

Russia and Syrian military intelligence have better intel now around Palmyra and Dier Ezzor, probably from the men on the ground who are Mr. Khadyrov(President of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation) who has sent two battalion to Syria thru the Russian MoD. These guys participated in the battle of East Aleppo. These commandos have slipped into the population areas in disguise as Syrian Bedouin. And doing ‘marking’ of targets.

There is absolutely no way the U.S. and Israeli’s will turn on their ISIS boys whom they have so much banking on. ISIS is supposed to be used as a weapon against Syria, Iraq, then Iran, then Russia itself. Such a colossal Project will not be abandoned ; which would infuriate Washingtons Allies in the Gulf, like Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

There is no ‘cooperation ‘ at all between Moscow and Washington. Here’s why. In the Ukraine, key U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain were on the front lines near the Donbass addressing Ukrainian army troops. They stated that the U.S. wants them to go on the offensive, and to punish Russia and Putin etc. Two days later, the Ukrainian military unleashed a massive artillery barrage on the contact line from one end to the other, even Grads and a Toshka missile was used directly on Donetsk. All hell has broken loose, many casualties and the war is back and running hot. The Ukrainian military have been making ‘creeping missions’ testing the defensive power of the Donbass militias. Today, a senior Donbass commander was assassinated in a car bomb, no doubt intel provided by CIA/ and/ or Mossad. Both are training and supplying Kiev forces.

There is no Washington and Moscow cooperation. Otherwise, why the just very recent big build-up of U.S. troops on Russia doorstep, in Poland(maneuvers, etc. ) Lithuania etc. Why hasn’t Trump called for a return of said forces?

ISIS is the CIA’s and Mossad’s baby, they simply will not abandon it now.

The Idea that Trump is different than his predecessor is ridiculous and dangerous.

Welcome to the new boss, same as the old boss. Welcome to the Trump show, a shell-game if you will.

Jesus

It is possible that ground observers have infiltrated ISIS territory and identified viable targets that were bombed effectively, I do not see Trump having full control of the intelligence agencies yet, the neocons still have some level of influence. ISIS is the proxy for the neocons from the US and Europe that is meant to destabilize Middle East. Neocons have been given the boot by the Trump administration and are no longer in control, Trump does not like neocons, he is a nationalist, he has a different agenda. He pledged he will destroy ISIS, how he will implement that, given the inept American display of power in the Middle East fighting ISIS…..remains to be seen. I would recommend pulling all the pretenders and the jokers from the area, and sending new units with unmistakable orders that need to be implemented.

As far as the deployment of an armored brigade in Poland, that was the work of the Obama acquiescing the neocons, an armored brigade is as much nuisance as a fly. Trump needs to consolidate his position and tactically defeat all the neocons and remove their roadblocks before he can get to business; he does not have to show his hand or telegraph his intentions, when the time is right he will show his hand.

Barbarossa296

The neo-cons are alive and well – Trump fled to the CIA Headquarters and gave a speech there as soon as his inauguration was over to prove his loyalty and subservience to the neo-cons. US troops are but a small and symbolic part of the NATO forces rushing to Russia’s borders, but Russia has plenty to fear – NATO member population ca. 800 million, Russia’s population ca. 180 million; NATO armament expenditure ca. 1 trillion, Russia’s armament expenditure ca. 200 billion, etc. Trump could have called back all of the US troops already in Eastern Europe, he didn’t even halt the US troops that are still in the US heading for Europe (Fort Carson is almost empty now). Trump’s Ambassadress to the UN sounds like Samantha Powers and declared that Russia is an aggressor state that is illegally occupying the Crimea and the Donbass. Trump is neither a Christian nor is he desiring to treat Russia as an equal partner in world affairs. Trump ran for President to give a Clinton win plausibility (our elites couldn’t believe that anyone would vote for Trump) and the plan backfired. Trump is doing exactly what Clinton would have done as far as foreign policy is concerned (though the jury is still out on Israel, I wouldn’t be surprised if he “caves in” on that one too). The President of this country is a puppet of our elites as they have been for decades. They’re throwing us a “bone” or two in domestic policy to create violent conflict here and distract us from their war mongering abroad.

Jesus

I do not see your version, neocons are alive and well for the time being and they are out of power. Trump does not like neocons, and it will come a a full clash. Trump is going to win, right now he is dealing with diversionary attacks the neocon system can generate. The numbers you presented do not mean much when you deal with a conglomerate of countries with various agendas that have allowed their militaries to weaken considerably. The trillion dollar NATO expenditure is not buying much, US armed forces have to contend with equipment that is 2-4 decades old, new weapon systems are not reliable; Germany does not have much modern equipment, their armed forces are small and they do not envision a serious rearmament program. If NATO was to fight a conventional war in Poland against the Russians, they would loose, and there would be nothing stopping Russian armored divisions rolling through Germany westward.

The elites in the US and Europe are neocons that became elites, because of globalization. You think Trump is controlled by them? My suggestion to you is…wait and see.

As I said earlier, the military and the geopolitical dynamics prevalent in 2016 have not changed. Putin is not going to bow down to Trump, Putin is dealing from a position of strength. It is immaterial to him what Trump is going to do with sanctions, the onus is on Trump. The election of Trump did not change the military and political problems US faced from the triad of Russia, China and Iran.

888mladen .

You see how your futuristic misinterpretation of Revelation in particular and Bible prophecies in general leads you into false expectations. My friend you will experience very unpleasant surprise just like the apostles of Jesus waiting for Him to be crowned as a king of Jews.

Jesus

Jesus Christ will be king of the Jews, and as far as my interpretation of the Book of Revelation, my advice is, wait and see.

Aside from the Book of Revelation, considering existing political, military and economic realities, my analysis is based on facts.

888mladen .

Jesus Christ will be king of the Jews. That’s exactly what the disciples were waiting to happen. The result was a great disappointment. Your interpretation is flawed to say the least. The Comforter is the only interpreter of the Scripture. Your or mine doesn’t count however confident somebody might feel. What really concerns me about you is that you claim to be the follower of Jesus but you don’t pay attention to His words. It seems like Jews are more important to you then the Son of God Himself. Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. What Israel only the future one? It looks like you don’t believe that Jesus Christ has His true church on earth today but we have to look for one somewhere in the distant future. 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. This is what Stephen the deacon a jew said about unbelieving Jews under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. As long as Jews repeat the same mantra like their Muslim fellows that Father has no Son there is no salvation for them individually and corporately. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. And by the way all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and they can be justified only by faith in the Son of God who is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world Jews and Gentiles included. Paul was not teaching that Jews would receive preferential treatment because they were physically descendants of Abraham. “If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham” John 8:39 and they would have the faith of Abraham.

Jesus

Jews are not more important to me than other people, I was addressing a misconception that seems prevalent that Israel is all gone evil. I stated present day zionists are atheists trying to implement God’s promises to them by their evil means, without God.

As far as Rom 2, Paul admonishes Jews that were proud being Jews, not as believers, but as some national privilege bestowed on them by God. A Jew is not someone who is circumcised and speaks Aramaic or Hebrew and keeps the traditions of the elders, a Jew according to Paul is someone who keeps God’s commandments.

As far as Galatians, Paul is comparing the Mosaic covenant that was sealed by the blood of bulls and goats, with the NT covenant sealed by Jesus Christ through His blood. The Galatians were introduced to Jesus Christ’s gospel by Paul, in his absence judaizers convinced Galatians to revert back to the Mosaic law.

At His first coming Jesus could not become King of the Jews because He was the sacrifice of God to redeem mankind through faith in Him. At His second coming, He will come as a King to save the Jews from annihilation at the hands of the antichrist.

I never said Jews would receive preferential treatment from God, the apostles were Jews and the early church was Jewish until the conversion of Cornelius a roman centurion, then before 70AD the Jews were blinded to Jesus Christ, and the Gospel was presented to the Gentiles. Jerusalem was destroyed and the Jews were carried into captivity by the Romans as judgement for denying their Messiah; not any different then when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and carried the Jews captive to Babylon as judgement for being disobedient to God.

888mladen .

Jesus Christ the eternal one with the Father and the Holy Ghost is not the”other people”. By now I’ve got a pretty good idea where you stand when it comes to the nature of Christ and the Godhead

Jesus

Jesus said the following: John 14: [28] Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. Jesus said, the Father was greater than Him.

John.20

[17] Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

If you want to discuss Godhead, I will discuss the matter.

888mladen .

You might esteem your father greater than you but never the less he is still human just like you. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phil 2:3-8. So let this mind be in you in order to have mind of Christ! Right. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. John 5:18 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. John 10:32,33 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, man, thy sins are forgiven thee. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins. Luke 5:20-24 Did he say He was not God? No. Did he deny that God alone can forgive sins? No. He confirmed it by saying that He hath power upon earth to forgive sins because God alone can forgive sins. So why do you reason in your heart the same way unbelieving Jews did Jesus is asking you? Why don’t you believe in Him to be the Son of God?

Solomon Krupacek

you are cuious. russia would lost conventional war against EU. Only the EU is stronger then russia. compare weapons. aaaand, the big difference is, teh EU in sveral months can produce 50-100x more weapon. russia not. russia wihoit money from eu is not able to pay its costs. russia is weak. the SU lost the cold war and was stronger and not alone like russia.

Jesus

Ok, let’s compare weapons and numbers. How many tanks do Poland and Germany have together? How many IFV? How many armored vehicles? How many SPGs, fixed artlilery and MRLs? How many tactical battalions of short range ballistic missiles and cruise missiles? How many A2/AD bubbles can Russia deploy in Central Europe, neutralizing supposed NATO air superiority? If a conventional war would start, Europe does not have the capacity and will not have the capacity to produce weapons, they will have to fight with what they have. Industrial defense sites throughout Europe will be neutralized and become useless, since Europe will become a battle ground.

Russia has money and tangible wealth, unlike EU who has fiat money nor tangible wealth.

Njordheim

Quantities are not very relevant. Motivation and readiness is more important and Russia is presently not the largest but most prepared and potent force in the world.

Jesus

Yes I agree, even though Russia doe not have the largest military and defense budget, during a war in Europe Russia will have complete advantage.

Valery Grigoryev

The war between Russia and EU is impossible absolutely, and it’s silly even to discuss it. No matter, what heroical Polish computer warriors think – who cares?

Jesus

You can discuss it to compare apples with apples and facts with facts, so they can see the reality, instead of being brainwashed by nonsense propaganda.

Njordheim

Russia will not attack any country but If Russia is attacked by “fake defensive alliance”aka NATO, even without use of the strategic nuclear deterrent that war would not last 7 days… That’s the fact.

Jesus

Yes I agree with you, Russia will not attack NATO, however, these discussions are meant to illustrate the reality of what Russia could do, and what NATO cannot do, in spite of all the political posturing and bellicose verbage emanating from airhead neocons.

Njordheim

EU is in free fall with massive refuge problem, huge debt, declining economies, countries leaving and insignificant armed forces … so really, who is going to fight Russia and why? It took US 2 years to deploy one armor brigade and it came in desert painted colors. I see that as a joke not a threat. Besides, heavy Abrams was designed to be dug in waiting for invading Soviet forces, not to invade true muddy North European plains in which it would get stuck before those moving steel caskets could reach any front. This sums the NATO readiness well.

Solomon Krupacek

No poland and germany. Compare the EU countries, bro. How many soldiers, equipment. And the number of tanks is absolitely irrelevant. So, you thoink, russia could win in 1 week???? this would be 3-4 years lomg war. and 3 months are enough to enhance the production. If papa stalin was able to do this, the EU is able also. otherwise, in that war no country would make business with russia. russia would not have money, would not have some important resources (some metals) important for production of modern weapons. russia has 140 000 000 inhabitans, 15% moslems, 30%ˇ4th class drunkeers. You would bleed out. And after lost war china could take siberia.

Jesus

The axis of attack for the Russian forces would be through Poland and Germany. Hungary, Slovakia, Czechs and Austria will not even participate since they seek better relations with Russia at present time. Please tell me how many tanks does Poland have? Approx. 250-300 Leopards and about 500-600 T52. And Germany does not even have 400 battle tanks they can use. And yes, the US armored brigade with about 90 tanks and 150 IFV.

If the number of tanks and IFV is irrelevant in a modern war, how are you going to fight? On horseback charging tanks?

If you have 5-6 armored divisions making a concentrated attack on a front of 100-200km, supported by a withering artilery fire and short range ballistic missiles……how are the Poles and the Germans going to stop it?

For your information, Russia has far greater strategic depth than Central Europe and is self sufficient in natural resources, however, this war will be a blitzkrieg war, it will not take long.

In the meantime think how the Russians will leverage Europe by asking them to pay them in rubles for all the gas and oil they import.

Solomon Krupacek

Jesus, you are always wrong.

1st, between poland and russia is belorus. and they do not let through the russian army :P

2nd. what is main russian axis means shit for us. we will attack it from the side and grave the drunken russian soldiers.

you can see, how piceful are russians in palmyra. drunken soldiers and isis took the city in 1 day. the russian ran so fast, that they forgot there the whole equipment :))

you do not have stalin, you have no chance, only he know what to do with russian cowards. but he also was no russian. ;)

Jesus

Belarus is an ally of Russia, and there is Kallingrad right in Polands face. There are over two divisions in Kallingrad who can pivot to the Baltic states or Poland. And most of Poland gets the kiss of the Iskander missiles among other things.

The rest of your narrative is nonesense, since Russians were not in Palmyra and you do not have armed forces sufficient to stop a Russian attack. You rely on an American armored brigade to be a trip wire, when the time comes Trump is going to pull that brigade out.

Poland needs to stop mouthing off and get along with the Russians.

Solomon Krupacek

Belarus is no ally of russia :)) And wuold not last through your divisions. Belarus IS AGAINST russian polirics in ukraine.

From kaliningrad you can onyl piss, not attack. kaliningrad would fall within 1 weekend. Black jesus, your beloved shoygu said, russians were in palmyra. :P

Jesus

Who is talking about Ukraine? We are talking about Poland and how much they brag about an American armored brigade being stationed there. From Kallingrad, the Russians can send Poland in the Stone Age in a matter of minutes. Yes from Kallingrad Iskander missiles would destroy your airfields and any other concentration of armed assets. Kallingrad is a dagger placed against Poland’s ribs.

Solomon Krupacek

belarus will not participate in war against nato. discussion is over!

Njordheim

Polski Retardchek, you have no idea what you are talking about. Overburdened with $15 trillion Euros in debt, EU is bleeding and self destructing as we speak. EU ability to fight a war is minuscule and it relies on US whose army is week, numbers are low and equipment (from fighter jets to tanks) is in average 4 decades old and combat readiness is so low and below the level seen pre-WWII.

Solomon Krupacek

Polski is the penis of your father :))) And retchardek is your mother :P

EU is several times tronger than Russia. Check the numbers and finish the philosophing. ;)

You are completely idiot, if you think that what you wrote about US army is real.

Drunker, it is enough to compare us aircraft with smoking kuznetsov.

Njordheim

LVIV Dumbo, size matter only when is up yours – not when comparing military readiness.

Njordheim

As I said Polski Retardchek, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Solomon Krupacek

little kaczynskisucker are you :))))

Njordheim

Poor Polski Retardchek, you have no idea what you are talking about.

888mladen .

Good assessment. Every new US president is more of the same. Erick Snowden in his interview said that he would rather concentrate on US policies than on the president because US presidents change but policies don’t.

Njordheim

They are not that good. If Trump gets in confrontation with Iran I do not rule a possibility of aircraft carrier being sunk and once this occur that would be a final blow to US soft power. Trump would like to intimidate Countries but US military is just not up to the task. I hope Trump remain prudent and avoid military conflicts that would plunge US into even deeper debt and political crises.

Ronald

Jesus : Your last sentence summed it up , first he needs time to clean CIA , then the military . His position is precarious enough , he might just take orders as we all fear , but he just might stand up like a man .

888mladen .

CIA is the state with in the state or better a super state.

Njordheim

Did you mean “deep state” ?

Mish

Russian air force does not use “dumb” bombs in Syria. This has been explained by The Saker in detail, about a year ago. What he doesn’t know about Russian weaponry is probably not worth knowing

Arthur Smith

Here, just regular uncontolled bombs dropped in line: https://southfront.org/russia-continues-to-use-tu-22m3-long-range-bombers-against-isis-in-deir-ezzor-videos/ Smart bombs were mandatory for populated areas like Aleppo, there’s no reason to waste them in the field. Try to at least check the link you are commenting.

Njordheim

Russia jets are equipped with SVP-24. The SVP-24 is a system that turns unguided conventional bombs into precision-guided weapons, similar to the U.S. Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM). But whereas the JDAM is a guidance kit attached to an iron bomb, Russia’s SVP-24 attaches the guidance kit to the bomber itself.

Arthur Smith

The fact that their trajectory is precisely calculated doesn’t make the bombs themself smart.

Njordheim

It makes the delivery smart / accurate, which achieves the same objective the JDAM does, which is a guidance kit attached to an iron “dumb bomb” .

Arthur Smith

Nah, they still fall in line, whether smart ones can home into individual targets.

Njordheim

Accurate delivery on target is all it counts.

Arthur Smith

Well, yes, but targets are rarely arranged in a row) Though, against one big target a bunch of bombs punching simultaneously can be preferable.

Njordheim

When target is large, like ammunition dump or command post or a military base or group of shops producing suicide vehicles which ISIS use, multiple bombs are needed to destroy the target. What confuses you are Hollywood movies in which they show a drone releasing one bomb that destroy the targets. This are tools CIA assassins use – you cannot destroy the concentration of vehicles or armed columns with one bomb. The system discuses has 3-5m accuracy and it is proven to work like a charm. Ask 65,000 terrorists killed in one year of Russian Air Space operations.

Njordheim

Sure they use KAb-500 which are “dumb bombs” – the bombs are “dumb” but the release is guided and computerize so overall effect is equal to installing guidance system to a bomb, which was what us did at much higher cost – on delight of the Military Industrial Complex.

Trustin Judeau

USA and Russia arent cooperating.Their interests are different.USA still wants Assad gone. The new president wont change its policy. The Americans are building new opposition. The previous project failed miserably – FSA.

Marcello Gusberti

Sorry but it doesn’t make sense to me: it would be the Deep state not Trump to have such info and if also him had them why doesn’t just send US bomber to do the job so to gain credit?

Jim Allen

Here’s the thing, it don’t matter the size of a given army. Germans proved that, 1939-1045. A country of 77 million. Russia, and the US has a population of 177 million each. Then there’s the rest of the world, Britain, it’s Commonwealth, and more. 5 years is the time it took to whup the Germans back inside their borders. The size of a military is subjective to victory. US/NATO can’t match Russian military capabilities. US/NATO is engaged in war with around 14 countries currently. There’s a fair to middlin’ chance of civil war breaking out inside US borders. Gov’t. has turned on it’s people, is treating US as enemy. Russia is engaged in Syria. US sanctions on Russia have not proven effective. Among others in the EU Germany has begun to buy natural gas from Russia again. US sanctions on Russia have cost the EU billions in lost trade, while Russia opened trade agreements with several countries it never did business with before. Russia didn’t annex Crimea. Period. The facts, Jack. This was 100% Crimea’s doing, voting itself out of Ukraine, then voting itself into the Federation. With a 95+% vote of the people. Confirmed by Standard, and Poor’s, among others. Donbass has been begging Russia for over a year now, to be allowed to attack Ukraine, which has been shelling Donbass nightly for some year’s now. Russia, is supplying Donbass, but hasn’t accepted it returning to the Federation, or cutting it loose to wage war on Ukraine. Donbass puts a whuppin’ on Ukraine every time they tangle. Jesus most likely won’t have anything to do with the fake Jews. (Zionist, Khazars, Wahabbis, and Catholic) It’s estimated only 10% of the real Jews remain, as the Khazars have been practicing genocide on them for like ever, now. These Jews won’t be found in Israel. God has not said they may return to the Holy lands. (Palestine) No real Jew would live there now. All the things, pet names y’all call the world banking Cabal, serve only to confuse the issue, and this issue is one strange, twisted inflated, convoluted, and shit, confused fucking thing I’ve blundered into. The world bankers are Khazars, fake Jews. There are 13 families, in this, But the name Rothschild represents all. This who owns the world. It owns the US Gov’t., the military, the Federal Reserve Bank. Created the UN, IMF ICC, DHS, DEA, ATFE, FBI, CIA, NSA, Big Oil, Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big transportation, Monsanto, Bayer, DuPont, The Central Banking System. The Bank Of England, France, all countries with a Central Bank. There are few that don’t have a Rothschild Central Bank. The Khazars have lost Syria, and Ukraine. Having chosen the wrong puppet in power in Ukraine, yet the US is still doing anything it can think of to keep Poroshenko propped up. Failing. I can say this. It’s not that Russia fears the US/NATO, it doesn’t. Or it would’ve surrounded us. It’s US/NATO that fears Russia. The way the tongues wag each time a Russian soldier yawns, or the way US Generals tense at each Spetsnaz. Putin stated Russia would not strike first. Me, the US, or any credible source can say Putin has lied, in any way shape, or form, in the 3 years I’ve followed this closely. The man’s word is good based on past performance. This is much more than can be said of the US/NATO, etc.. Putin is not scared. Russia is not scared. They don’t want to fight. There’s a reason Putin has refused to engage in Syria, and Syria. He may have a different target in mind. There’s no telling what Trump will do, provoking Iran, slapping sanctions on is not conducive to deescalating the war. I don’t know if the US understands, if it attacks Iran, which is most formidable, and why it’s left alone. Syria, Many Libyans, and other countries will join Russia in backing Iran. Getting permission to use the airbase in Iran is one of Russia’s bigger accomplishments. ME countries do not allow foreign power’s to park in their countries. Shows much trust in Putin, and Russia. Was a great time saver from flying out of Russia, and the planes could carry bigger bombloads. Most are still buying into US propaganda believing MSM lies as Gospel, with it’s “Russiadidit”. This is not true. It’s the issue that needs diffused. NOW !!! Nothing is happening with it, execpt more of the same.

I hate to burst bubbles but here we go. Let’s start with the “points” in the article. #7 is Russian propaganda. I don’t see why it keep get repeated. Surrounded Isis members in Mosul supposedly travel through the dessert un noticed and attack Palmyra and then deir ez-zor. And it’s the US fault. Notice surrounded, and in Mosul. Never their own fault huh. Why is it hard to take mistakes to heart or admit not having the capability to do proper recon?

The Russian bear is going bankrupt.. Well not really but the Russian gov is running out of war funds and will have to create or point to a new disaster or event to blame it on within the year. Or maybe next year. Or the Russian people will blame Putin for their set backs. This was atleast the case before Russia sold it’s crown jewel in the energy sector to an unknown actor, looks like Qatar. This is huge news.

The people in here talking about Russia winning a conventional war? Not likely you have to look on the geography and choke points and mountains etc. Europe-Russia flat terrain. Can’t hold Turks in south and NATO in West. War won’t be conventional and nukes will be used. Russia will try to hold key points, maybe invade some new places that are easy to defend to anchor itself and live out the nuclear winter. While Europe kills itself during starvation and a complete lack of technology etc. It’s an absolute nightmare scenario.

As for Putin and Trump to save the world together and fight ISIS yeah that’s probably not going to happen. Well maybe the Isis part but I believe the united states will continue the hostile attitude towards Russia, atleast in the media and by extension everybody that’d isn’t Trump himself. Then there is the safe zones, Crimea, Donbass, Iran and China. Way to many obstacles for any sane major de-escelations or changes in US posture on the international stage. We’re all screwed.

More blah blah… US is $20 trillion in debt with increasingly disloyal, brown population. EU is $15 trillion in debt with growing internal crises. Recent misfiring of trident missiles fired from British subs and flight of the missile towards US along with the F-35 program which is a disaster, showed clearly how out and unprepared the US military really is. And speaking of EU military… what military.. German Tornadoes in Turkey cannot even fly after dark ?

You just burst your own bubble. What you are saying is irrelevant and fictitious.

Prove it.

Trump is a product of a civil war not just within the US deep state but City of London and others – we live in interesting times.

Trump is definitely assisting Russia with their murderous operations in Syria, where the government is murdering its own people every day. Trump admires Russia but the CIA is not working with ISIS. That’s ludicrous. Was this article written by the Russian government or its tools? Of course.

Meanwhile, It’s more and more clear to women around the world that men are destroying the world on many levels and must be stopped. The destruction of our planet by bombs and wars is not an option. Women will rise up and stop this soon.
