Some 16,000 men signed contracts with the Russian military in the past ten days and most of them said they want to avenge Ukraine for the deadly terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in the capital, Moscow, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on April 3.
“There is a considerable growth in the past ten days of those willing to sign contracts with the Defense Ministry and participate in the special military operation. Up to 1,700 men daily come to sign contracts across the country. In the past ten days close to 16 thousand citizens have signed the contracts,” the ministry said.
In total, more than 100,000 men have signed contracts since the beginning of the year, according to the ministry.
The number of those willing to fight in Ukraine has increased in Moscow considerably, as most men want revenge for the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall, the ministry said.
“Most candidates said the main reason to sign a contract was the wish of revenge for those killed in the tragedy on March 22,” it added.
At least 144 people lost their lives and more than 500 others were wounded in the March 22 terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall, which saw at least four terrorists opening fire at civilians attending a concert then setting the entire place on fire. The victims included women and children.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack. Nevertheless, the initial findings of the Russian investigation indicate that the special services of the Kiev regime were involved in orchestrating the attack. One strong piece of evidence is the terrorists’ attempts to flee to Ukraine before being detained by Russian security forces.
Commenting on the rising number of volunteers in the Russian military, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that this was an indication of the people’s increased support for the special military operation in Ukraine.
“This is more evidence of the high degree of internal mobilization of our society, its consolidation around President [Vladimir] Putin and around the goals that have been set for the special military operation,” he said as he commented on the rising number of people signing up for military service.
It is safe to say that the Kiev regime’s recent attempts to intimidate and terrorize the Russian people have clearly backfired. The situation of Kiev forces in the special military operation zone is only getting worse. On the other side, the already-dominant Russian military is even getting stronger.
