Three people were killed and six were wounded in a shooting attack at the entrance to the city of Jerusalem on November 30 morning.
Israeli Police said that two Palestinian gunmen got out of a vehicle on Weizman Street at the main entrance to Jerusalem and opened fire at people at a bus stop. Two off-duty soldiers and an armed civilian in the area returned fire, killing the two gunmen.
Videos posted to social media showed the two gunmen, armed with an M-16 assault rifle and a handgun, opening fire at the people at the bus stop.
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance service said its medics declared the death of a 24-year-old woman at the scene, and was taking eight others to hospitals in Jerusalem. An elderly man and a woman, who were critically wounded, were later declared dead at a hospital in Jerusalem.
Another two Israelis were listed in serious condition, three in moderate condition, and one in good condition, according to MDA.
The attackers were later identified as brothers Murad Namr, 38, and Ibrahim Namr, 30, from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher. According to the Israeli Shin Bet security agency, the two were members of the Hamas Movement and previously jailed for “terror activity”.
The attack came just hours after an agreement between Israel and Hamas to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for a seventh day was announced.
Tensions in Jerusalem and the West Bank have been high since the October 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel which led to the war in Gaza. Israeli forces escalated operations in occupied Palestinian territories in recent weeks. Just a day earlier, two children were gunned down in the West Bank refugee camp of Jenin.

perhaps these hamas members could have picked a better target than innocent people waiting for a bus. maybe the isreali apartheid regime doesn’t really want a ceasefire. in fact we all know they don’t. so far we haven’t yet seen heaps of dead hamas fighters but we have seen heaps and heaps of dead civilians.
