On the morning of September 5, a new explosion rocked Turkish-occupied areas in the northern Aleppo countryside in northern Syria.

An improvised explosive device (IED) struck a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV on a road leading to the town of Ghandurah, that is located less than 9 km away from the border with Turkey.

According to the London-based Observatory for Human Rights, two men were killed and another was injured in the IED blast. The three men reportedly worked at a border crossing for the Turkish-backed al-Shamiya Front.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, yet. Kurdish forces are known for carrying out such attacks against Turkish forces. Nevertheless, ISIS cells are also active in the area where the attack took place.

The al-Shamiya Front is a member of the so-called Syrian National Army, SNA, that is based in Turkish-occupied areas in northern and northeastern Syria.

A state of lawlessness is prevailing over Turkish-occupied areas in northern and northeastern Syria. Ankara and its proxies are doing nothing whatsoever to improve security there.
