On September 15, locals in eastern Daraa uncovered the bodies of three Syrian Arab Army (SAA) service members who were abducted then executed.
The bodies were found near a checkpoint located between the towns of al-Musayfrah and al- Sahoah. At least one of the victims was beheaded by the attackers.
Local sources said the victims had been serving in the army’s 5th Division. All three were from the governorate of al-Suwayda, to the east of Daraa. The soldiers were reportedly stationed at an eastern Daraa checkpoint.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, thus far. ISIS, whose cells are known to be highly-active in eastern Daraa, remains the main suspect.
Last week, Brig. Gen. Talal al-Qasim of the SAA’s 5th Division was assassinated by unidentified gunmen in the eastern Daraa countryside. Several other attacks on army personnel took place in the same region. Nevertheless, no suspects were arrested by security forces.
The repeated attacks on government forces and even local fighters in Daraa are the result of weak security measures. The lack of any real coordination between the government and the locals is further complicating the problem.
U.S. training… I dont understand why anybody would surrender to these demons. You run out of ammo, use your knife, dont surrender, also keep a handgrande for the finale.
the mother of fools is always pregnant lol
It’s a common misconception that most POWs are due to surrender, when in fact most get captured after being incapacitated (knocked out by debris, stunned by blast radii, blinded, shot etc.) and thus have no say in the matter.
RIP. Airstrikes and TOS-1 incoming… Tomorrow tell will be roasted CIAisis trolls for breakfast…
I was about to post similar comment…
